  1. I joined Highfield library at 4 years old, and have used the library ever since, its a service I use at least once a fortnight, for loaning books, dvds, and a whole host of other things, would be a travesty if even one was closed, !!!!!
  2. I joined the library at 4 years old at Highfield and would hate this or any other library to close, I use Hillsborough at least twice a month, for books and all manner of other things, keep em all open is what I say !!!!

  15. Well I happen to think that our estate is every bit as good as you seem to think yours is, have lived here over 40yrs, its kept clean and tidy by most of us, really object to being called scum, and other derogatory words that have been bandied about, we have bought our abode, and hasten to add no mortgage, how many can say that on Wadsley Park I wonder, have always worked, as has my OH and sons, we have a lovely well kept park where we take our grandchildren for picnics and to play football, what started as a thread about mugging has turned into a lets knock Winn Gardens thread, no wonder it had a bad name with people like some of you on here knocking it !!!!!!
  16. I know a Brian and Enid Maw who live near hillsborough, they have two daughters and a son
  17. They LIVED,,,on Winn Gardens??? there are good and bad on every estate and I haven`t witnessed police patrols round here for a long time, its a shame you have to make the estate out as a den of iniquity, which it is`nt, we love living here, just a shame Wadsley Park was built, and why not move if its such a bad area?? or put electric fence round you to keep every one but the elite out!!!
  18. This thread has incensed me...I live on Winn Gardens and have done all my life. How dare you say we need an electric fence round us, most of us are law abiding citizens, just because the 3 ran onto the estate doen`nt mean they live on here, as for comments from the police I`m disgusted with them too, ,
  19. well sure you will enjoy, and there are quite a few to choose from these days,,, xx
  20. Did wonder when the Golden Lion one was, thanks for posting, will try to get to it, be rather strange though cos my Mum worked behind the bar there many moons ago and I spent many hours in the back room and watching films upstairs at xmas parties...... and does anyone know when the soul nite is at The Green Room? know it used to be 1st friday of month but been a while since I went so have forgotten,,,
  21. Might only be once a fortnight, but why should people in wheelchairs or with a baby in a pram have to go out into the road because cars are blocking the pavement !!!! and public transport is frequent to the football ground !!
  22. They certainly would !!! and if wardens did it every week maybe the car drivers would think twice bout bad parking !!
