@melthebell- the fuel/power price rises are totally divorced from the subject discussed here - they are due to increased world demand and, although some will no doubt say I am wrong, profiteering by the major players. The fire at the inter-connector site (in Essex?) earlier this year, which still hasn't been fully repaired, won't have helped, either.

I occasionally go up to Crookes to have a look round the shops, and I usually park on Springvale if I can. Looks like I won't be going in the future then, same as I rarely go to Broomhill any longer since the imposition of the council's permit parking zone.

They've also forgotten to mention the rampant quantatitive easing which has poured billions into the economy ever since the economic crash of 2008.

That is completely untrue. They were asked to visit the internet site and share their views. 12% replied, are you suggesting that this 12% is some kind of majority support ? Why not a simple yes/no question in a returnable envelope or just knock on the door and ask? Crookes has a large elderly (and not internet savvy) population they are underrepresented. Also, how many students - who are short/part time residents were involved. The whole thing was fake. I have to say that the only people who seem to be taking an interest and have actually knocked on my door are the Lib Dems, distinct lack of interest from the other parties.

so you dont think this escapade has eroded TRUST, HONESTY, COMPASSION, MORALITY in this government? How can we trust them with these "far more important things going on in the world" when they cant even be trusted to not hold parties for a few months and break their own rules, they brought in?

Was this gentleman a philanthropist or a sponsor of great charitable deeds?
