It was actually on Ellesmere Road just up from the urinal at the corner of Sedan Street and bang opposite the Mormon church.

He might want it but he won’t get it. Fair enough, in DC’s head it could well be a starting point for a sale but it’s only worth what somebody else is willing to pay for it and that’s what he’s finding out.

He could have paid a billion and it wouldn’t affect the value.

Because it’s not relevant to the valuation.

In 2015 DC paid £37.5m for the club lock, stock and barrel and with a better playing staff than what we have now. The season he took over Wednesday were on their way to improving their league position for the fourth successive season and were just about established in the Championship. The club, including the ground, can’t be worth any more now even allowing for inflation and if we go down, much less. The millions he’s spent since are irrelevant to its valuation because if there’s been no improvement it’s been money wasted. Nice try in his first couple of seasons, and I thank him for that, but if he hasn’t any more to give he should accept that he’s gambled and lost and sell up.

It was a well used pub in the 60s for drinks before dances in the Cutlers Hall, just two rooms each with their own entrance from Church Street.

Denise Coates paid herself £221m last year. Nobody was forced to contribute to it.

Swindon’s unwanted record was for a 42 game season. Current record for a 38 game season is 89.
