True ... although I prefer PC gaming for the flexibility and versatility ... the Consoles are coming up fast and PS3 comes to proove it.

I think it looks pretty good.

 

The size is understandable when you remember it's a liquid cooled system, running nearly silently, with an internal PSU instead of an external brick + all the other goodies. It's only 1" bigger in every dimension than the 360. Then again it does have a convex curve instead of the 360 concave.

 

In the end, it's all relative.

these PS3's just been on a sky tv games round up thingy, said that people in USA were shot & killed for them outside a wallmart while in a Q , Some guys bought one and smashed it up right outside the shop with a lump hammer. Then people were buying to sell on ebay for $9,000 USD !!!!

I had a Sony DVDrom, died after a month, piece of crap (their hifi seperates are brill).

 

What always amazes me with this current generation is the change.

 

Sony had the PS2, it was smaller than an xbox, less powerful, came out first, had the titles.

 

Now, the 360 is smaller, less powerful, came out first and iirc has more titles.

 

It seems like Sony and Microshaft decided to go for the same approach of the other one, and then see who wins, like a private bet lol.

 

The other thing that makes me think is the naming of the 360... was it called just that because a Xbox2 could not compete with a PS3 ?!?

 

Some so bright spark said "well what we need is a Xbox3 to compete with the PS3, but we never made a Xbox2... er... I GOT IT !!! if we call it the 360 then in a sense its a '3' but we never said it was, and we are now on the same version as the PS !!"

 

Either way thats what the small voices tell me.
