Of course spending on Covid and it’s effect on the economy was a major blow to our already weak economy. How much was necessary, how much was ill advised and how much was a total waste of money will continue to be debated for ever. However you may believe that pre Covid that the Conservative Government improved the standard of living for a great number of our population in the essentials of housing and health services then I don’t. The current crop of Conservative MPs should certainly not be within a million miles of Government, and many wont be after the next GE. Why is me putting the dates of three important events on a graph doctoring it ? "Doctoring" would be moving the graph line or altering the axis parameters which I most assuredly did not do. Do you know much about graphs ? Are you denying the essential point of the graph ?  You are right about one thing, the BBC would never have put the Covid event lines on that graph because they were very biased about what they said about the Covid suppression policy at the time. They have been a bit more balance since, but only a bit more. Edited March 13 by Chekhov
 Share this content via...

Doctoring a graph by 'adding' your economic theory and removing the other two major factors attributed in the article by the Bank of England boss which you ignore(Brexit) or misinform(impact on Russian threat of invasion 12 months earlier.
 Share this content via...
