International break.. is it good or bad?

Recommended Posts

For all us fans of the Local 6, never despair it could be worse. We could have to watch England every week.

I unfortunately watched it,worse than ever, the so called pundits don't half bum them up,if a Slovenian player does a wayward pass it was poor,if Sterling does one it just didn't work.

I turned it off after 20 minutes last night.

Total yawn from start to 20 minutes.

It's like watching Wednesday when we're 'at our worst' tippy tappy, square, back, square, square, Goalkeeper.

OOOOeerrr!!!

'At our worst' ? Perhaps you didn't attend many home games 1973-76.

I obviously mean the current team.

I attended almost every game back then.

Younger and darter.

England has the same problem as Croatia this year.

Players are playing with absolutely no passion and in "let's get over this" style.

Only thing is, England had a easiest possible draw for qualifications. Croatia, still has to win play off to qualify.

It used to be an honour to play for your country, it now appears as if its an unecassary distraction from the riches of the odious Premier League.

Expect an early knock out and another session of hand wringing from the FA with regards to what needs to change only for the whole cycle to repeat for the next tournament.

Agree with every word tops.

Following England is like following both Sheffield clubs - have reasonable expectations but learn to handle disappointment.

I used to like the home internationals which were played in mid-season every year in the old days. Nobody seemed to mind the leagues closing down for a few days or so then. Mind you, everything was simpler then, no bloody premier league bulging with overpaid players etc. As for the World Cup and qualifiers, it is all about the revenue, teams managed to prepare for the main event without all this claptrap, in earlier World Cups. Too many no-chance teams involved these days.
