Anti Semitism rife in labour ranks.

Weren't Socialists, Communists and Trade Unionists condemned to concentration camps in the 30s and 40s?

Competing types of socialists.

As I've said in-fighting doesn't mean much.

Yes some businesses were allowed to remain in private hands, but socialism calls for state ownership or state control of industry and the Nazis regulated the hell out of industry so that it could choose between serving the state and being nationalised.

Just because they weren't marxist communist, doesn't mean that they weren't socialists. Socialists come in many varieties.

Communists and Trade Unionists as they opposed some parts of the Nazi regime and were open about it, plus the Trade Unions had sided with the Communists publicly. I have never read about German socialists being sent to the concentration camps.

Ah I see, and how did the Nazi's differentiate between the different types of socialists/communists/trade unionists as to who were to be condemned to the death camps and those who were to be spared?

Why would that be a challenge?

They had an ideology with a name, and rules and systems. They built a large police force and a large military.

I suppose closet communists would have been safe.

A closet trade unionist would be a rather useless entity.

Aggressive redistribution of wealth.

When you talk about aggressive redistribution of wealth, do you mean redistributing the wealth from Jews to the private arms manufacturers/other high up Nazis?

Hitler's purge of the more left leaning Ernst Rohm, and his SA cemented the Nazi's position as being the leaders of an authoritarian capitalist state.

The top socialists always end up rich.

Luton Labour councillor suspended over Hitler tweet

A message on Luton councillor Aysegul Gurbuz's Twitter feed claimed Hitler was the "greatest man in history".. Another tweet on Ms Gurbaz's account suggested Iran could develop a nuclear weapon to "wipe Israel off the map".

She has now resigned, though still claiming someone else sent the long string of undeleted tweets.
