samssong
It seems as though Anti Semitism is once again on the rise in the UK. The big surprise in this is that it is rife in the Labour party. It seems as though Councillors and politicians from West Yorkshire and Luton are usually at the forefront of this blatant racialism . In Sheffield we seem to get regular demonstrations outside the Town Hall condemning Israel aggression on its borders with Palestine while completely ignoring the rockets hurled into that Country by the terrorists who live there. Perhaps we should keep an eye on recent history and stamp out this scourge on society now! Edited April 11, 2016 by samssong
Obelix
As far as I can recall the Labour party are already looking at the issue and attempting to stamp it out.

Well it was Anti Semitism in the Labour movement that lead to the eventual holocaust in Germany so Corbyn needs to get his finger out now.

I'd love to see you explain and justify that one.
runningman1
I'd love to see you explain and justify that one. He may possibly mean that it was anti semitism in a similar socialist party?
JFKvsNixon
He may possibly mean that it was anti semitism in a similar socialist party? I thought that the socialists were having running battles with the Nazis in Germany of that time, and were eventually jailed.
unbeliever
I thought that the socialists were having running battles with the Nazis in Germany of that time, and were eventually jailed. That doesn't mean much. Fanatics fight amongst themselves, just look at the conflict between different Islamic extremists. Beyond that look at the degree to which Islamic extremists target ordinary Muslims. Just because some socialists were targeted by the Nazis doesn't mean the socialism movement is innocent in the matter.
Obelix
He may possibly mean that it was anti semitism in a similar socialist party? The NSDAP was only socialist in the name - it had a paramilitary wing that used to beat up the socialists and communists. It was very much middle of the road, middle Germany in appeal, which is why it did so well.
Berberis
Hardley stamped out. Luton Labour councillor suspended over Hitler tweet http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-beds-bucks-herts-36009544 A message on Luton councillor Aysegul Gurbuz's Twitter feed claimed Hitler was the "greatest man in history".. Another tweet on Ms Gurbaz's account suggested Iran could develop a nuclear weapon to "wipe Israel off the map".

I would suggest that the Nazis have as much in common with socialists as sausage dogs do with sausages.
