ivan edake   13 #1 Posted January 23, 2015 Once opon a time whenever I wanted to get rid of an old car wheel and tyre I just used to take it up to Douglas Road tip and sling it into the back of a skip. This is no longer allowed and the staff had no idea where I should take it and suggested I ring Veolia. When I did this all I got was a lecture from an obnoxious female telling me I should never use secondhand tyres but always buy new ones then my old ones would be disposed of.She then said I should ring Rotherham council as there was nothing in Sheffield. This is probably why tyres are dumped everywhere and is probably costing the council more to remove them than it would to provide a proper dumping place.
