POUNDSWORTH   12 #50 Posted June 3, 2014 Poundsworth buddy,  How dare you question Sheffield Forums very own knowledgeable football correspondent regardless of the fact that he is normally way off the mark but never the less still believes himself  People can sit talking about the past for a month of Sundays but it doesn't change it and all things said and done it is all pretty irrelevant now anyway. I'm not counting no chickens as of yet but if this turns out to be correct then if anything it can only be a great thing for Sheffield football as a while. Both teams will have some financial pulling power and hopefully it will drive us both back up to where we deserve to be as two big english clubs who have massively underperformed for the best part of a couple of decades. Would be great to bring a bit of northern supremacy back, both Manchester teams in the top flight, both Sheffield teams in the top flight.  LOL,   Yep, really hope it comes off this time, the genuine football supporters deserve it.  Some of the figures do seem comical . But the long term picture is what is at steak, one cant keep treading water for ever.  Some Owls on here have been through some proper heart ache over the years, others just dont seem to understand football, never mind clubs investments and commitments.(there again non of us do!)  Hope it comes off for you. mjw47 Â Â 10 #53 Posted June 3, 2014 He's failed with that one so far, good luck with the rest. Â David Weir failed, but as Nigel Clough joined us when we were in a relegation battle and we finished seventh we are not too unhappy with the present situation. Â Now it has to be said that Mr McCabe has a poor record as owner of the Blades in appointing managers. Â Despite which, he never went as far as preferring a 21 year old with no management experience other than Championship Manager to an experienced manager and former European Player of the Year. Â But that is exactly what your potential new owner did as owner of Baku FC. Â This promises to be good!
 Share this content via...

web1 Â Â 10 #55 Posted June 3, 2014 Mm has turned declined negotiations in the past as he deemed them unfit, he has also stated that any offer would, primarily, be in the interests of SWFC, of course he is a businessman etc but please dont think MM is wanting a quick out. If the potential takeover goes ahead I'm sure it will take the club forward and quickly. Milan knows what he's on with.
 Share this content via...

top4718 Â Â 838 #60 Posted June 3, 2014 The first post on this thread from a united fan was an attempt to muck rake about the Hillsborough inquiry putting off potential new owners, that's what I replied to.
 Share this content via...
