Which building in Sheffield would you like to see demolished?

Recommended Posts

The whole Odeon/Fiesta/Roxy/Top Rank/O2 Academy/car park conglomeration.

The bus station, railway station and University area have all improved a lot since the 80s, but that huge galumphing great carbuncle just sits there, decade after decade.

The big tower next to the Peace Gardens made out of the shiny plastic whiz coloured panels that looks like an oversized 70s public lav.

And otherwise I agree with Vagueboy, the Odeon conglomeration. And whoever said the Grosvenor.

Thirded on the Odeon mess and the Grosvenor.

They are truly grim.

Just because I see it every day, the building that has replaced the Brushes building on Barnsley Road.

I'll second that.

What a carbuncle on the landscape!

Wow, I'd say that's one of the best buildings in Sheffield.

The Arts Tower is probably Sheffield's only important building, smart choice. I'd demolish that old derelict church on the corner of Crookesmoor Road and Crookes Valley Road. It's been attracting pigeons and crack fiends for about a decade it seems.

The teapots, old Centre for Popular Music, are they still there, never liked them.

There are some beautiful buildings on the NGH site including the newly restored old clocktower building which was built in 1878.

The tower clock now strikes the hour in daylight hours .

It's good that at least some of Sheffields heritage is being preserved.
