Vague_Boy   10 #13 Posted November 9, 2012 The whole Odeon/Fiesta/Roxy/Top Rank/O2 Academy/car park conglomeration.  The bus station, railway station and University area have all improved a lot since the 80s, but that huge galumphing great carbuncle just sits there, decade after decade. Badlittlepup   10 #14 Posted November 9, 2012 The big tower next to the Peace Gardens made out of the shiny plastic whiz coloured panels that looks like an oversized 70s public lav.  And otherwise I agree with Vagueboy, the Odeon conglomeration. And whoever said the Grosvenor.
 Share this content via...
geared   321 #15 Posted November 9, 2012 Thirded on the Odeon mess and the Grosvenor.  They are truly grim.
 Share this content via...

SE25   10 #22 Posted November 10, 2012 The Arts Tower (Sheffield University), followed by the Northern General Hospital  The Arts Tower is probably Sheffield's only important building, smart choice. I'd demolish that old derelict church on the corner of Crookesmoor Road and Crookes Valley Road. It's been attracting pigeons and crack fiends for about a decade it seems. Daven   10 #24 Posted November 10, 2012 The Arts Tower (Sheffield University), followed by the Northern General Hospital[/QUOTE] There are some beautiful buildings on the NGH site including the newly restored old clocktower building which was built in 1878. The tower clock now strikes the hour in daylight hours . It's good that at least some of Sheffields heritage is being preserved.
