Look at how the regulars defend women been abused in Islamic faith and their homophobia, the racists comments by the MP Diana Abbot, the point is if they're of BME origin then its always somehow justified.

 

I've never defended the abuse of women or gays by people who are Muslim. In fact I posted not so long ago the unacceptability of certain cultural pracrices (e.g. female genital mutilation and forced marraiges). It is inexcusable. End of.

The percentages posted earlier in the thread. Asian Muslims certainly seem to produce an effect out of all proportion to their numbers, don't they? If asked to guess at the figures, I'd have said they were a lot higher than a few percent.

Agree with you on the "effect out of all proportion to their numbers".I think the problem is that every time you open a paper or turn on the news all that you see is some crisis or public outcry involving muslims,where as a lot of other ethnic minorities blend into the background and never seem to have chaos following them.

It's desperately sad that some people will use the abuse of children to further their own racist ideology. I hope that those people are as quick to do something about the situation such as volunteer for organisations that support vulnerable youngsters, as they are to come on here and spout their racist muck.

And before you ask, yes I do work with vulnerable young people.

I cannot believe that some are saying,well whites do it as well as if that makes it somehow ok,its all wrong .Full Stop no matter what colour they are.Labour mp Ann Cryer brought this up years ago and was told to shut up has she was letting her asian voters down by bringing this problem up.Thankfully she didnt let it lie and carried on pursuing it.I think that the police are worried about pursuing sensitive issues involving muslims and so are councils.Rioting and protesting in the street is something that councils will want to avoid and sadly in the last week we have seen what can happen among and i stress a minority of muslims.

A minority of Whites, a minority of Blacks and a minority of Asians.

 

However, there are some, and in South Yorkshire, the authorities appear to have been letting people get away with committing sex offences due to a fear of being accused of racism, which is appalling.

 

The matter of race shouldn't be censored, it is that matter of censorship that has led to people getting away with these crimes for years on end!

I think thats the scariest part of this,did the authorities let it go purely for fear of being accused of racism.If they did then its another kick in the wotsits for south yorkshire police in a matter of weeks and a full enquiry should take place.
