charlie_boy
Under current law, even if you do exactly that, if she doesn't remember doing it the morning after you have still committed rape. Which he/she basically said already.
HeadingNorth
HeadingNorth, were you sat in the court like the other jurors? Nobody needs to have been sitting in the court to know that the two verdicts are mutually contradictory. That was exactly my point.
SpecialPG
my opinion is..... innocent until proven guilty fact.... no jury gos 12-0 (guilty) then sentances a man to 5yrs in prison without hard evidence so there must be more evidence than we speculate (1 guilty 1 not) fact is he is a rapist an deserves to rot in prison with the rest of the rapists/murderers/peadosspot on lettie01... CorkerSWFC
I'm quite sure in most job's he would have been suspended until the employers found out if the person in question was guilty or not. Another sign of footballers getting "special treatment"...
owls001
Compare and Contrast. 2004, Lee Hughes was convicted of death by dangerous driving immediately sacked by WBA on the verdict. Ched Evens....still being paid as an employee of SUFC
lettie01
Nobody needs to have been sitting in the court to know that the two verdicts are mutually contradictory. That was exactly my point. there must have been reasons and hard evidence in court for this decision to be made

charlie_boy
So if someone just lies there like a sack of spuds because they're too drunk to do anything about being raped then it means it's not rape? That sounds like a licence for rapists to drug their victims as much as they can' date=' because from the above definition, unless he pins her down and she tries to pull away it's not rape![/quote'] What the post is trying to get across is that in this case of accused rape there are soooo many grey areas! Some rape cases will be cut and dry and some wont be. Sometimes the jury will have to make a decision on rock solid evidence and sometimes they have no evidence so just have to make a decision on he said/she said. Ched was stupid and gave the jury every reason to go against him. Doesnt mean he did it, just that he was stupid in going there and making himself look guilty by the things he did trying to not get caught cheating! Yeah m8 bit of a strange one isn't it, maybe United thought he would get found not guilty like most footballers do.
