What was your first job and where ?

1950s worked at the old WH Smiths, big old corner building, can't think of the name of the street now.

HI Grinder started there early 52 Mr Gooseman editor Miss Joanse his sec , ,, Mr Fernley C/Sub , Mr Taylor Sports edt, Mr Gill in charge of lads, any of these would send you for a piece of printers pie from canteen. when you first started and the canteen lady's used to carry it on , then of course you were in trouble with C/sub. Bob Driver in transport duty lad to see him to find who was taking you to station with papers to put on trains , late 52 was given job in dispatch but had to finish on doctors orders,.
