23565792
Sheffield council has priced the little stall-holders and shops out of Sheffield with their over-the-top-rates, when in fact there could be stall-traders on almost every spare area, of pedestrian walks, even the Carthedral forecourt could be a haven for the many eager shoppers of Sheffields surrounding housing-estates. People coming into city for their weekly shopping-trip would get more enjoyment out of the cities facilities, if only these skinflint rate-fixers gave us a thought now and again, instead of looking at ways how they can screw us on a daily basis. The Council have no control over rates- dont blame them!
EFCMatt
The Canal area should be redeveloped into a vibrant bar/restaurant/small music venue area.

DRIVE BRICK
The Council have no control over rates- dont blame them! Oh yes they could sort out the high rates. Sheffield would be a much more vibrant and entertaining place if the city centre were full of traders, instead of everybody going to the faceless hell-hole called Meadowhall. It need not be tacky traders, but a variety of different traders. In Barnsley town centre there is ALWAYS something going on in the town centre, different markets, street entertainers etc. Some local guys even bring their classic cars into the pedestrian area for people to look at. Im from Sheffield, but I would not even dream of going into Sheffield shopping. Its boring and it needs to get back how it used to be. I also think that the council should make the rates cheaper (EVEN IF ITS NOT THEIR FAULT THEY ARE TOO HIGH) so smaller traders could help get Sheffield back to the great town centre shopping experience it used to be, instead of the boring embarassment it has become. poppet2
Good looking men, with looks like George Clooney. As my mum used to say, 'A man's looks won't keep you'.
Jeffrey Shaw
But women who attract men's looks might keep those selfsame men (or even be kept by them)...

Mecky
A better road layout, none of this rubbish one-way street juff. Better public transport (buses trains, trams) throughout the city and to neighbouring towns.
