slimsid2000
Wear cloth caps, work down the pit, own a pigeon loft and beat their wives. They come home at night to yorkshire pudding and stew, nip down the pub and talk to their mates about the horse racing. After that if they aren't too drunk to find their way home they break a window to get in as they have lost their keys again and give the wife a slap before going to bed. So are you all the same just ike Muslims? As a Yorkshireman myself I am offended by such generalisations. I kn ow your game though. You come from Blackpool don't you and like to eat hotpot. You know waht I'm getting at. I bet you wear cloggs, listen to George Formby songs and wear a red rose in yoru lapel. You know waht I'm getting at. sandie
Yes Sandie. I need to ask the question because I dont understand you so please humour me and answer it. And while you are doing that, explain where I have contradicted myself. - Or dont you understand what "contradict" means either? It seems to me that you misunderstood my post 102 and started a totally unnecessary row on the back of your misunderstanding. Just in case you still dont understand, read the next bit slowly:- I do not think that we yorkshire people are stupid or idiots.(just the odd one or two just as in any community) But I do think that the people entitled to call themselves Yorkshirefolk have ancestry from lots of races and creeds which have combined over thousands of years and continue to do so. This means that yorkshire is no purer a race of people than anywhwere else in the UK - thats all it means - It does not say anything about intelligence. So perhaps now you will make an effort to answer the questions put to you ? PS and you still havent told me what's wrong with being ugly. I an typing this responce very slowly after reading your responce, Yorkshire folk are proud we may be a mixture of different backgrounds, but I dont know a Yorkshireman who does not deffend his county. Do yourself a favor and put the Dictionary away. I find little point in trying to have a sensible debate with a self opinionated individual that would fight with their shadow. Yorkshire is where I was born and more importantly Sheffield is my home town where I lived for 30 years, so find the rock you crawed out of and return. Where did you produce defending the county from? Who brought that into this debate? And if you are so proud of the mixture of backgrounds that makes up the people who can call themselves yorkshiremen then why did you choose to fall out over what that means? I should not need to remind you that there was no fight on this thread until you started one - and over a point you have at last conceded. And your point about me crawling back under my rock.:hihi::hihi:I see your particular rock is in Inverness. So your not likely to stumble across me in Yorkshire then. A proud scot now are you? TallestDwarf
I think that sums it up perfectly , well said u ! You're too late into the debate Fi. If you read back over the exchange you'll see that Sandie has conceded the poinr already. Nevermind;)
