Guest makapaka   #2 Posted October 6, 2018 At the moment we have 6 estate agent signs on the corner of Middlewood road and Middlewood Drive Many local councils restrict the number of estate agency signs in anyone place I wonder if our council might consider something similar  They should do.  It looks a mess.  The agents just have permanent boards up in crookes / Broomhill. Should just make a rule that unless property is available at that time you can’t have a board up.
 Share this content via...

How Ark   10 #8 Posted October 7, 2018 To be honest there is more concerning things to be worried about! Knife crime, burglary and social care just to.name a few!  Same logic as " third world problems".  The signs are a blot on the landscape so good for OP to raise as an issue...having less of them won't save the world but might make it a nicer place for some. And aren't Estate Agents always the bad guys anyway.
 Share this content via...

Guest makapaka   #10 Posted October 7, 2018 There are doubtless bigger issues in the world.  Estate agents cluttering streets with a variety of different coloured advertisement boards to save their own time and money in order to make personal profit doesn’t have to be accepted as a consequence though does it.  Does anyone have a genuine reason why this should be allowed to happen or just going to turn it into a discussion about the third world? How Ark   10 #11 Posted October 7, 2018 "The signs are a blot on the landscape" - fits the broken windows theory? Perhaps a step too far?  Granma. Yes. I think so. The estate agent signs being complianed about seem a sign of affluence rather than deprivation.
 Share this content via...

As it's the public highway there shouldn't be any so if you're really bothered then a simple 'phone call will get it sorted.
 Share this content via...
