  1. We had the same thing after we found a phone we believed belonged to someone in the Uk, we were in Australia at the time. After some futile Facebook and Twitter searches and after deducing who it might belong to we finally found out that you can make a call by pressing down the round button and saying call mum, call dad, call home etc... Most people, have a number logged under one of the call signs. I managed to call the girls mum when we got back to the uk and managed to return the phone to a girl in Bath, 5000 miles from where we originally found it. Hope this works.
  2. Oh my gosh, get a grip and make an effort. Police are massively under resourced, especially on the front line. Do you honestly think they owe it to you to chase you up for your mussed appointments?
  3. Last year was about £1.50 per child and £2.50 for two. It's about ten to 15 mins...the are usually generous with the timings, especially if not busy. Have fun.
  4. Yes all boats up and running, including a few new arrivals.
  5. Also in S7, lights flickering for five minutes gave us enough time to sort candles.
  6. See The Star for a bit more info on why it will be closed http://www.thestar.co.uk/news/local/hillside-slip-to-disrupt-sheffield-and-chesterfield-rail-services-1-6445269
  7. What you wouldn't contemplate possibly losing house keys and car keys even though you have lost so many other things in the last two weeks?
  8. Epic Fail, you are very absent minded, first you leave cash hanging out of the machine in Sainsbury's and now you leave your wedding ring in the back of a cab. I suggest you visit the doctors and ask them about how to cure being so absent minded! Meant to say Blue canary hope you find the owner. So far I have reunited someone with their house keys /car keys on this forum.
  9. Child not at school as it was an Inset/training day at Silverdale.
  10. Both my girls at our local school were told by their respective head teachers about this incident in assembly this morning. The following message was sent via text at the same time. 'We've received notice of a suspicious man in Millhouses Park this morning. Tried to grab a child who was running with his parent. Police have advised. Please be vigilant'. So I guess not a wind up!
  11. Your welcome, shame your in box wasn't working :hihi ---------- Post added 27-01-2014 at 21:46 ---------- Thought that after I took it out Megalithic, never mind.
  12. As the above states, I found some money in the cash machine as I was about to leave the store today. I have handed it into the Buro de change at the top of the escalator, so, if you have walked away from the machine and can tell them how much and at what time you were withdrawing the money, I hope they will be able to reunite you with it.
  13. Seems to be an on going problem around here. Think we have had 3 in he last two months all lasting between 25 minutes and thee hours. S7 2LY was just about to say we haven't had a power cut and the powers just gone off...spooky!
  14. Very freaky weather, the road was white over with hail ten minutes ago, then an enormous thunder clap, now it's snowing! Also in S7 Millhouses. No, I'm wrong, back to torrential rain.

  18. Whilst out sledging with my children earlier I found some house keys. They have 2 bronze front door keys, a Sheffield United key fob and a few other attachments. If they might be yours please PM me and can pass them back to you. If not will pop them to Woodseats police station next week. Thanks.
