Chances are, if its an infection it will usually spread to both eyes and any other beasties he's in close contact with too. Fingers crossed its just a bit sore x

Try bathing it yourself, he may have just been clocked in the eye by his sister but if he doesn't improve, he may need eye drops from the vet x

Good to hear another recommendation. Our vet has given us the go ahead today so I'll be booking the boy in for next week hopefully

Dont know if its of interest to you, but could you volunteer at any of the shelters as a dog walker maybe?

Thanks for that, I've actually just been in touch with Kate. It's great to har a recommendation tho. We're just off to the vet with our GSD so after that, I will hopefully be arranging to take him there. Are you able to stay in the room with your dog and watch?

Yes you're right. I think that was just used as an example really but there are lots of other cross breeds with a similar price tag

I dunno, I was told u can have 2 litters a year without being classed as a breeder but dunno how true that is or whether you should declare it to the taxman

I paid £180 for my first GSD nearly 8 years ago. Paid £300 for the GSD puppy. I paid £150 for a 5 months old unwanted springer & £670 for a 5 month old unwanted Saint Bernard. I certainly wouldn't be paying that kind of money for a cross breed.

I haven't a clue! Saw an advert yesterday for "springbatt" puppies! A cross between a springer spaniel and a Bassett hound????!!!! Why even do that? Lovely price of 500 quid. It's a mongrel!!!! Gggrrrr it really gets my goat!

Lol bargain then! I thought they'd be more. Makes me realise how very cheap my purebred German Shepherds were. And my purebred Springer Spaniel. And even my purebred Saint Bernard in comparison lol

We feed CSJ. But there are 7 people in our house as well as 4 dogs so we produce quite a lot of waste

Really Medusa? I thought they weren't supposed to fight when they're neutered. I've had a few toms over the years n none ever fought. Must be just lucky then! Mind u, my mog kinda thinks he owns the area. Goes for a walk with a neighbour along with her cat and her Rottweiler. As u do. Lol

My cat broke his tail about 4 years ago. One vet wanted to amputate but when I took him in the next day for surgery, I asked for a 2nd opinion. This vet saw no reason to amputate. Put him on metacam for a while and now he's absolutely fine - u can still feel the kink in his tail but it causes him no problems. Moonbird, that's my black n white mog Kevin - u probably met him n didn't notice as u really can't tell. Hope your cat is ok giraffe x
