Listened to the whole of Beatles Rubber Soul - what an amazing album, hardly sounds dated.
-
Suede - The Next Life. The whole album is great, loved it when it first came out and just improves with age.

Yep Sophie we are going to finally get you that ideal man -
Reminds me of the old days. Great start, nearly totally throw it away, drag it back, have another collapse and then almost drag out a heroic draw but fall agonisingly short. Much prefer this to winning the ashes back and getting OBEs or whatever it was they gave them.

"Sorry, I am not in Service", says Mr Bus
Yodameister replied to extaxman's topic in General Discussions
IT always makes me smile and I always think, "wow, a talking bus". I think getting angry about it is a little over the top. -
Did you think of asking them why?

There are permanently bugs around, different people have different resistances to them.

Why hasn't technology "proved" the paranormal exists?

I don't understand. But then I'm not a genius. What particular area shold we be looking at to find these paranormal things? -

If the 'paranormal' could be confirmed by scientific method it wouldn't be the paranormal it would just be natural phenomena. -
What book are you reading at the moment?
Yodameister replied to happylady's topic in Entertainment Chat
Just finished The Sirens of Titan by Kurt Vonnegut. Amazingly the first thing I have ever read by him, but will certainly be reading his other stuff now. The plot seems very casual and very random in places but it all comes together in ways you never expect, its sad, funny and thought provoking throughout. I'm sure it must have been inspiration for Douglas Adams - very reminiscent of a slightly more serious Hitch Hikers Guide To The Galaxy -
Which band would you most like to see reform?

Well if the moment has passed for libertines I think the century has passed for the floyd! I like Pink Floyd but I don't think I get them the same way as everyone else - my favourite albums are The Wall, Momentary Lapse of Reason and The Final Cut and I never understood what was so great about Syd Barrett. -

Saturday Night and Sunday Morning by Alan Sillitoe. Its the best book I have read for years:its sad, funny, insightful and feels so real. -
What about it?

Just got into The Thick of It. And I'm addicted to the repeats of Goodnight Sweetheart on ITV3, there's really something about it but I'm not quite sure what.

Not got XP, got Windows 2000 Professional. I've tried downloading another driver and that doesn't make any difference. Think I'll have to wait until someone else can come over and have a go at it, I am all out of ideas.
