IMHO - The main reason WHY is because Sales Companies like the Accident, Ambulance Chasers, Scammers, Internet Crooks, Sales Blaggers Etc.. Do NOT use ordinary LandLine Phones with Genuine Numbers, they will use IP Phones which can be setup to Emulate Any Number they Choose...to use.. Once you block any number, they switch - the settings..

Hi Charlotte: IMHO Speaking as an Retired Union Person. The First thing I would question - is it HER Personal Rule or the Call Centres own rule? If it's the Company Rules.....Consult your HR Handbook....? If it isn't covered There it AINT a Real Rule. In a Call Centre the go to place is - CWU - A Telecommunications Union. Plus you might find out that your Supervisors/Managers/Senior Managers/HR have little or No Legal Expertise, or Legal Training. If it sounds unfair it's usually wrong....

If you don't want future calls from Scammers: Here is an Ingenious Solution worth trying - 1. Record yourself Any Fax Machine Online Noise or Computer Dial up Tones onto a C90 Tape. 2. Record this as your Reply Message if you can do this on your Answerphone... 3. Any Autodiallers would faithfully recognise your Line now (wrongly) as a Fax Machine. 4. As your line appears to be a Fax Machine, it (your number) would become useless to the Scammers, however if they send a real Fax, it would not work!

I seem to recall my go to Brand for Casettes was either BASF or Memorex..... But I seem to still have a quantity or wide collection of Cheap Chinese / Taiwanese Generic ones.

I'm not an Online Gamer personally, but my friend (now deceased) I know he used to play online games and Chat to other players whilst playing these games. So my guess would be that you have to both have be on same framework ( Like eg. Xbox 360, Xbox One etc, not one on PS4 other on Nintendo Switch or Xbox, Xbox 360 etc..) Or it could be differing online service, incompatible? Just a thought....

I recall having in a long gone Car - AN 8 Track Player, which was great if you listen to your Music, all the way through, but if you advanced it or rewound it! Then the tape tied up tight, stretching the tape. Which was my main reason to move to C15 - C90 cassettes, then CD rack player, Now modern Cars don't even have a CD Player as Std.. Both long gone still installed in those Cars.

Being an Avid Hoarder, I think I also have Some Betamax Tapes, Vinyl collection, V2000, Compact C Tapes, Disc Player, (+ tiny dictaphone tapes), BlueRay, CD-+R, CD DL, but finding them might be a struggle... Having been converted to iPod/iPad, the modern music system of streaming, maybe I should have dumped them years ago, but I loathe the idea of losing them! Even though I have not used a C60/C90 Tape for years! They were reliable, unlike CD's which warp and deteriorate becoming unplayable - if left on your dash or window sill in the Sun.

Similarly Like Willman, I've employed similar tactics with emails, but, With a slight twist: I use the (out of office feature/Holiday feature) ALL the Time .: if someone emails me they get this automated reply! " This Particular Email Address has NOW being decommissioned! Prior to Last Month. If We bought something from your Company within the LAST Month, we informed you of the Email Change, if NOT please delete this Redundant Email Address off your Lists " Then I use the several others for personal email......rotating using them on a rolling basis.

SO - IMHO, I think the drive had a big Linux Hidden Directory, with 40Gb formatted in Fat 32 Using Windows for the work user on a Network only being allocated the 40Gb space each?

I did that, Split it into two partitions of 20Gb approx next I formatted both loaded win 10 on one, then Linux on other on the reBoot the drive loaded A Linux Live version but said there was not enough room to run, So I deleted both partitions then Linux reported just 500Gb to Format...... very puzzling?..

I have since discovered the size + partition tables are all screwed up, the Actual size of 500Gb not 40 being misreported. So my guess is the method of wiping just screws up the partition so the drive can’t be reused, easily. in answer to the Persons prior question just Geek Speak.
