I was referring to what the parent reported her child had been told at school.. The natural progression of the way these things go now is that the parent will be called a liar...Then when this fails the child will be accused of misunderstanding why the song has been altered....When this fails it will be a rogue teacher who had an agenda....When this fails the line will be, "it should be changed anyway, its racist"...lol

Okay I thought class sizes were smaller these days though, so that doesn't really add up. I agree with the changing of the song or even its none use, but I don't agree with explanations given. Perhaps its those who fall for the excuses used, who are not so bright...I dunno though...

You wouldn't say that if you were waiting for treatment or an operation that keeps being put off. I was referring to the terrorists who live here while claiming benefit..

I was commenting on the change of words not on the banning of the song? Is that a myth as well? I think the only way to settle the argument is for someone who works in a school to clarify the situation...

Am I the only one who disagrees with the girl being brought here for treatment. I heard on the news that the treatment she will need will be very lengthy. I know it seems harsh but there are people already here, of all races, who've paid taxes and can't get the treatment they need. For instance someone I know has just started an expensive treatment for a life threatening illness after waiting since last October. It seems the country is not as hard up as we are continually told. Perhaps the girl's treatment is to be funded by the Pakistan government but they just don't have the facilities. Then that would be ok.

No wonder the poor kids are confused, there's not such thing as a rainbow coloured sheep...they've changed the song so it will not appear offensive to black children. This is perhaps right. But there's no need to go about it in this silly way....we all can see what's happened there. Why aren't they just honest and say..."We're not singing bar bar black sheep anymore because some of the children feel uncomfortable with it"...Everybody would agree this is the right thing to do and it would avoid all this smoke and mirrors stuff. And what's the point in telling kids that budgies live on a farm...aren't there enough real farmyard animals to choose from....

I know little about American politics but Obama is one of the few politicians I think is honest in the entire world...No doubt someone will tell me otherwise..

Horses are very powerful animals and I doubt the horse was harmed at all. If it was a police horse the officer was ensuring the horse was aware of what was needed. It may have looked harsh but the horse will have been uneffected.

PS I was meaning people who start threads about Muslims for dubious purposes are despicable anyway..

I was talking generally and not specifically about the OP. There's absolutely no need for name calling either.

Those who bring issues like this up in order to stir trouble up are despicable. Those who deny there is a problem with some Muslims, or anyone else for that matter, in order to protect some PC rubbish or failing left wing tripe..are just as bad. Two wrongs don't make a right.

Its my opinion that social housing should be available for anyone who wants it. The government should start a mass building program to boost the economy.. Owner Occupation is out of the reach of more people now and private sector rents are too high for low earners, ensuring they have to apply for benefits. This is silly why not just provide homes at lower rents...

If the idea is to save money how will this be if people will be shuffled about. There's still only a certain amount of properties. Won't some people receive less HB while others receive more as they are allocated bigger properties?

It was said that its not possible to be racist against Muslims because Muslims are not a race. I merely concurred with this and said then in that case, all the anti Muslim threads which are claimed to be racist can't be, because Muslims aren't a race. Or he dropped one. Being a woman I agree. Correct.

Why did you have to make the connection between Muslim and taxi work? You'll be saying next that all the Chinese are fit for is working in a take away...You're blind to some sort of racism.

So by that logic then anyone who hates Muslims is not racist...? By trying to show that some Muslims are nice it shows that the poster feels the need to do it, so yes it is racist...albeit not in a negative way granted.

I'm sorry boyfriday but I think this is a weak attempt to counter some of the anti Muslim threads that frequent this forum. There is nothing unfair in these threads by nature. Maybe some of the users use the bad things Muslims do for a racist agenda, but without a subject to discuss, these people would disappear. It is racist though. You are attempting to prove that there are some nice Muslims. Well of course there are. Its my opinion that some none Muslims patronizing attitude to Muslims, as a whole, does them no good, in fact it does them great harm.

As mentioned earlier of course there are white men who groom children. What is being ignored though, by some, is that in the Rochdale case the perpetrators deliberately targeted children of a different race. I understand that the police, in S. Yorks, are about to charge two more groups of men. It will be interesting to see what race the culprits are and their target group. Perhaps then, we can forget all this tit for tat nonesense and concentrate on the specific crimes and the best way to resolve them. We also have to accept that some races seem to "specialize" in types of child abuse. Pakistani men, for example target children of a different race in organized street grooming crimes. Whereas white men tend to target any race of children and tend to operate alone.
