I was just wondering if anyone had any experiences with Enterprise Property Services/Reza Salamat. I was sent a copy of the tenancy agreement a week ago and by all accounts it's very weak e.g no time limit for fixing faults etc. My one previous encounter with a private landlord was an absolute shambles. However, from what I've seen of the properties let by Enterprise they seem to be of a good standard. Usually a quick google reveals a few personal experiences but all that comes up in this instance is 10 breaches of building health and safety regulations.

Don't think you'll have much look I'm afraid if he is ID'd. My girlfriend also has one as she doesn't fancy taking her passport out or forking out £50 for a provisional licence. All the times she's been ID'd they've never accepted it in any bar! The Cavendish, Wetherspoons, The Globe, The Graduate, Brown Bear, Bungalows and Bears and Corp. It's a real nightmare really. It specifically says on it that it has to be accepted as a legal form of ID and has the backing of the Portman group etc but bar staff aren't interested. It frustrates me no end though when they don't accept it. Even when showing them her student card which verifies everything on the card they still don't budge. I understand the penalties that come with serving underage people but just wish people would have some common sense!

Recently started writing a film blog and would love to get some feedback from fellow film lovers. Have a couple of reviews up there for Splice and Tron: Legacy with some alternative reviews of Love and Other Drugs and Mission To Mars. As well as some other bits and pieces. It's a Granada TV production for Channel 4. Granada are joint owned by ITV and a lot of Granada's output comes from ITV studios which may explain the address.

Mr Busdriver, there's quite a waiting list for ABBCOM these days so I'm finding out. I've been trying to wing for a 5min slot at ABBCOM...would just love to show them what I can do and then its up to them whether they want me to do it again. Don't limit yourself to Sheffield though, I'm understanding now you've got to put some travel in. Manchester and the Midlands are buzzing with places you can go. A lot of places book up quite heavily in advance. I've got a spot in Derby at the end of December and hopefully one in Leeds soon.

With the "seams of her body" line I had in my mind the image of a beautiful, vulnerable girl who had the sewing seams of doll. Though it also brought to mind the biological seams we all have, the strands of muscle, each cell being held together, wrinkles, the lines on a palm or fingerprints. I imagine them dancing by suddenly resonating with the whispers in her ear. The thread drawing up from the skin before being pulled taut again. Like the waves on an oscilloscope. I wanted to mix those two images of the youth, romance and childhood with a more complex image of the body. I always hated in school having the magic of my own imagination of how the world or the body works spoilt by science lessons. I haven't actually got a name for the first poem yet. I'm glad you liked that line in my second poem. It's my favourite line. I'm not really sure where to take my poetry next. I'm going along to the Words Aloud night in November and hopefully some more people will also enjoy them.

Haha, yes, you've nailed it. I wrote it to dupe a few poetry "fanatics" and English students. Most of whom produced various ideas of themes and subjects for the poem. When in fact, it was merely just an exercise in putting words together to give that feel of "Is it good? Is it bad?"...well, yes, it's just complete balls. A few of them realised it after i told them to pay more attention to the structure. But I'm glad you both like the first poem which I put a lot more thought, time and effort into!

Languidly I roll through objects. Looking for meaningful Silence.

Whilst I can't stand "indie" music in nightclubs, I have a soft spot for the Corp DJ, as unlike those in Carling and Plug they actually attempt mixing as opposed to stop/start on iTunes. If that's DJ'ing, then they may as well sign me up to do it. At least I have some more danceable "indie" than The Kooks.

Five or six months?! I really can't wait that long, especially for £6.50 an hour! I'm going to ring these people on Monday and find out what the hell is going on. Even if I started working there tomorrow I'd only be there for 6 or 7 months. Thankfully I'm not getting into it as a career path, sounds like a nightmare! Thanks for the info.

I'm more than used to depressing places Downloadist so that doesn't bother me too much. It's just the waiting and hanging around. How long did it take you for your security stuff to come through?

This is not the thread I wanted to see! I'm also waiting for "security" clearance. I went through an agency, so I don't know whether this will speed things up or slow them down? Surely if they are using an agency and looking for temps they can't expect people to wait months! The only good thing I've heard about this place is the casual dresscode. I'm on a gap year and plan to go travelling in April so want to have a decent amount by this point. I'm also bored stiff sat around at home. I'd go looking for part-time work if i had a better idea of how long this would take. I signed all the stuff and had it all sent off 3 weeks ago and haven't heard anything back from them. It seems daft to me that it takes them 3 weeks to check that I don't have a criminal record, I hold a British passport, the son of British citizens and have lived in Sheffield for all 18 years of my life. The amount of stuff they wanted as well. Driving license and paper counterpart, passport, 6 months bank statements, all my education certificates, national insurance, 3 year referees. If I was mugged on the day when I was carrying all that stuff about I'd be well and truly screwed.

I stick £2 a week on an eight match accumulator. Usually brings in about £190 if the win comes up. The way I see it I have a better chance of winning it than the lottery and a lot more often. If I spend £2 a week then thats about £76 a season, I just need one week of results to come up and I've already covered my losses and made a profit. I'm on £210 up so far this year. Had 7 out of 8 in the UEFA Cup fixtures the other night. Silly Feyenoord. Would have won me £195. Shame that only 2 results came up Corker!

It depends on what sort of work they want to put you forward for. It may be best to ring ahead to find out exactly what you need. I had to take a mighty long list of stuff but thats because i was applying for the Home Office thing, driving license/counterpart, all my education certificates, bank statements and such things.

I was in your same position on just Thursday google. I was told Sue Ross Recruitment were wonderful but completely forgot to write down where abouts they were. So don't make my mistake, it's on York Street near Campo Lane and the Cathedral. My brother used Premiere People so i went to give them a shot. Absolutely useless. Told I'd have no hope finding any sort of admin/data input/office work. Thought I'd just give them all a try, so headed down near the Blood Donor Centre, walked into Brook Street (i've heard mixed reviews) and within about 10 seconds they wanted to give me a job at the Home Office. So I'm waiting for all my security checks to be done now. They are pretty helpful and very friendly.

After my solo job search being completely unhelpful...I was told that most work would be filled with agencies but it was worth checking out some other avenues (NHS and other admin work), I was told on two occasions by seperate people that I was unsuitable due to being "overqualified and underexperienced" for an admin position. Crazy, non? Anyways, I've finally given in and this week i'm going to go down the temping route. My brother went to Premiere People and got a good job fairly quickly and they seemed to treat him well, but I've heard mixed reviews overall. So where exactly is the best place for admin/office work?

Nah, this one was definitely Canadian because I was there with my Canadian friend and they both got all excited.

Does the Canadian girl still work there? I went on the first day of opening when it was having a few teething problems but haven't been back since because I can't stand coffee shops. But that Canadian girl, wow.

My friend is the drummer so I got in on the guest list. I hadn't listened to any of the stuff beforehand so I was pleasantly surprised to how tight they were as a band. The gig really flowed. It's not my type of music at all but I enjoyed it for what it was, and they deserve to get bigger than they are at the moment. I'd only been to the Carling Academy the week before for the club night on Friday...which was really poor.
