  1. I think that most of us would probably think that "Its not gonna happen to me" but the sad fact of life is that alot of things do happen to us, "common sense" is what is needed more now days, i dont mean this in a sexist way, but even more common sence for the ladies... (rape etc) As for the risk caused by smoking, drinking etc, we all know the risk ~ we make our own decisions. And pay for them.
  2. I live 2 Minutes away from Wolfe road, and as far as i know the fox hill area is like the rest of parson cross where the houses have been knocked down ~ its all Planned but when its gonna happen? who knows, most of the land will be selt off to private developers, Wolfe road is in bad need of a good Shopping Precinct, But your home is what you make it and what the people next door etc; are like doesnt mean that its all horrid, there are horrid places all over this city. life is what you make it. Fox hill is a dam site better now than it was 4-5 years ago.
  3. Maybe so spyro2000, i cant fault what you say, but im not a neutral, im a Blue ~ United are on the up mr w has done and is doing a grand job... from a neutrals view you would say united are the better team...... for now... time will tell. wednesday are the biggest team "support wise" and so the biggest sheffield team..... the league table speaks for its self.
  4. So where is "Wallace & Gromit"?? arnt they everyones favourite animation?
  5. It may not be the best view in sheffield but i love the view from shirecliffe, over looking hillsborough, i can stand on the top of shirecliffe and look down below at so many places that ive been and places that mean so much to me, from the Wednesday ground, to my old school, to childhood days in hillsborough park, the dog track (speedway), to where i once lived ~ which is now hillsborough Leisure Centre. Its like a big history lesson, a re-run of my life. The Memories... Im proud of where i came from (Grew up), im proud of hillsborough and im proud to be from sheffield:D i hope ive not grown up too much though?
  6. Sorry to hear about your loss Jon, my dad died when i was 20, he was the only real close family member i had, god i miss my dad.. just sat here typing this brings a tear to my eye... people told me that when he died that time is a great healer... and to one part i belive it is.... but the pain and is still there, i still love my dad and i miss him,... grieving is a natural process....that we all at some point will go through and the pain we feel is all part of the love we share... if that makes sense to you... we are all here on the forum if you need us Jon.
  7. Brad Pitt ~ why? Angelina Jolie:love: Jennifer Aniston:love: need i say more...
  8. I could cope without the net, but i would'nt want to lose it... it would have a bigger effect on my kids... we have to "take a number and wait our turn".......... Ive had the net for about 8 years, my kids are aged 15, 14, 11 & 7 so to the kids its part of life, unlike to me where it was all new, to them its part of life, to email mates download music etc...
  9. Maybe so but, i can for the moment live with my regrets.. the years go by too fast... where the past 35 years of my life have gone i dont know?? but i do have 4 Beautiful children to show for it... they will one day grow up and leave home and have their own lifes etc, then i will be still young enough to have a life of my own to live with out regret knowing i did what was right for me. Dont get me wrong my regrets are "not my kids" im proud of them, ive hid my regret for them to protect them. maybe with what you told me (pm) you will understand.

  12. Yeah i watched it, what a load of twaddle, ""Michael Winner said "If you paid me a million pounds I wouldn't live up north" Brian Sewell said that the north is a ghastly place full of soot and mill towns that a flu epidemic would sort out (deplete the population) all i can say is..... thankgod "they" live in london!!! YORKSHIRE GODS OWN LAND!
  13. life is not that simple when you have others to think about..... what ever we do in this life it effects others in one way or another, its not a case of regrets, or doing what your supposed to do... its also doing whats right.
  14. There are many things in my life i want to change, but i cant do it as im affraid of the upset this would cause, i may be putting their feelings b4 my own but, i have changed my out look at life and have come to understand that its a gift why try to ruin it for other for a selfish act for myself.
  15. I totaly understand what your going through, its no good loving someone if there no love in return, it takes two for a marrage to work, athough splitting up is never easy, where do you go ?what do you do, sometimes living and feeling alone while you live with someone is better than having nothing at all...some people might find that it sounds strange but what else can you do, when you have no money, no family and know your gonna be on the streets.... good luck medusa666.
  16. Maybe sometimes being married just makes you feel like part of the furniture..... same place, same face.. spice is the food of life;) Id sit and have a cuddle anyday, im a big softie i love hugs.. from the right people....routine kills.... and so does one way love, you have to love and be loved back for things to work.

  18. (READING THINGS LIKE THIS REALLY WIND ME UP, WHAT TYPE OF LOW LIFE SCUM BAG DOES THIS TO A DEFENCELESS ANIMAL?) SHEFFIELD STAR: 31 August 2005: Who was owner of neglected pup Jake? THIS poor abandoned pup was found wandering the streets of Sheffield with a skin infection and virtually no hair left on his flea-ridden body. The RSPCA is appealing for information about his callous owners. RSPCA chief inspector Matt Bell, who is leading the investigation, christened the two-year-old terrier-cross Jake after he was found in the Morgan Avenue, Barrie Crescent area of Parson Cross, Sheffield. Jake was in intense pain from a severe flea infestation which had caused allergic dermatitis and a secondary skin infection. His hairless body was covered in raw, weeping scabs. His eyes and ears were also infected as were his paws, which had swollen to twice their normal size. Chief Insp Bell said: "I feel sure Jake belongs to someone in the area. He has not been straying for long as the pads of his feet were soft and his claws were overgrown, suggesting he had probably been confined for long periods in a very flea-infested house. "Jake was in an absolute state when we found him but he would have taken weeks, if not months, to get this bad. "Whoever owned him callously watched his condition deteriorate without paying any heed and it now appears they've dumped him without a second thought. "I would urge anybody who recognises Jake and can identify his owner to get in touch. "Jake didn't deserve this and I very much want to track down whoever was responsible." Jake is being cared for at the RSPCA's Bawtry Animal Centre. Once he is fit and healthy he will be available for rehoming. Anyone with information should contact the RSPCA's cruelty and advice line on 08705 555999. Calls are in confidence and are charged at the national rate.

  23. I'd take it as a compliment if it ever happened, but i dont think it ever would happen to me, as ive been told that i look older than i am, from the age of 12 i looked old enough to get in to pubs which was a bonus.... but now im 35 im not too chuffed as i once was... as for the age factor i cant see why age should be a barrier if two people like each other..... as long as its legal
