Just be careful with timings. I once sped down Salt box lane to make sure I passed Hillsborough before final whistle and got a speeding ticket for my troubles. Only ever had 2 in forty years of driving!!!

On a related subject it sounds like someone on this thread may know the answer to a question puzzling me. A few weeks ago I was caught in a 24 hour bus lane in Leicester and issued with a fine of 30 pounds through the post. It was 9.05pm on a Friday night. Firstly I didn’t know such a thing as a 24 hr bus lane existed and certainly not outside London. How common are they and what is the justification for the all day/all night label.
