  1. So we got there in the end then,as I suspected its a SYP ANPR camera tracking cars into and possibly out of Derbyshire, that should help with a lot of the crime we’ve been experiencing.
  2. Thanks for clarifying,so SYP can now put ANPR or moving traffic offence cameras up without Council approval or permission or signage ?
  3. So is this fake news : https://www.saga.co.uk/magazine/motoring/cars/using/councils-use-cctv-to-issue-penalty-charge-notice “How many cameras are we talking about? There are believed to be 768 active CCTV cameras across the UK, whose only role is to monitor, and collect evidence of, motoring offences. Wandsworth Council leads the pack, with 122 CCTV cameras devoted to traffic offence monitoring” From the horses mouth in 2016: https://www.sheffield.gov.uk/content/dam/sheffield/docs/your-city-council/ask-for-info/CCTV%20Code%20of%20Practice.pdf • Assist with the deployment of resources • To carry out any surveillance under RIPA • Monitor potential public disorder or other major security situations • Assist in the detection of crime • Facilitate the apprehension and prosecution of offenders in relation to crime and public order. .Assist with the detection of moving traffic offences where it is considered that the public safety is at risk
  4. Not according to this story: https://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/uknews/1579768/Councils-to-use-cameras-to-catch-drivers.html “Several councils, including Manchester, Brighton and Hove, Nottingham and Sheffield, have already voiced an interest in taking on the new powers.‘
  5. I don’t think it’s a speed camera, could be a no R turn camera, hope it is,had several close shaves with late hard braking and illegal turners in front of me but I think its more likely to be ANPR,tracking cars into and out of Derbyshire.
  6. Has anyone any idea what the new camera is on the corner just next to The Dore Moor Inn ?
  7. Are you near Fulwood,Clark Farm on Hangram Lane will bring a dumpy bag on the tractor if you ask them nicely .
  8. It’s WRVS and the last time I went it was dreadful and overpriced.
  9. Just call Evogo in Sheffield they’ll send you a stock list and after a simple credit check you’re away with a car within a few days. ---------- Post added 21-09-2017 at 21:18 ---------- Thanks, don’t mention it ?
  10. Russ at Reflectology best for ceramic coating.
  11. I didn't go with them at the moment and extended my current contract hire contract for 3 months but they have a huge selection of cars available immediately or will order anything you want and the prices are very competive with what I can get for a 3 year contract so will almost certainly go with them when mine expires because of the flexibility.
  12. Hi, I found a company a few weeks ago who offer a 3 month rolling contract for car rental, their name I seem to think was something like Aveo but now I can't remember and extensive Googling hasn't helped. After 6 months if you extend again they give you another brand new car. It's not one of the big names like Avis. I think the Sheffield office was Attercliffe area. Anybody any ideas please ? Thanks, Chris
  13. I managed to get it picked up this evening. Just in case anybody is interested this was the response from the sender: Hello Chris, That's just it. You did not pay for any shipping. We did. We gave the shipping to you free of charge and we pay $10 per package with global mail. It is cheap to us and free to you because it has long delivery times and limited tracking. Your response only confirms my thoughts on your expectations for the shipping. Thank you. Sena Cases Customer Service Update: Sena have kindly credited me with $10 for shoddy RM service :-)
