Zyban really messed me up. It was originally an anti depression pill and its effects on smokers was discovered by accident.

For some reason my sad excuse of a brain reacts badly to anti depressants so they didnt do a thing for me, in fact they turned me from a 40 a day smoker to a 60+ a day smoker.

 

I hope you do ok on them, but if they fail, try the champix.

A swift warning here...

 

For the first time in weeks I suddenly want a cig.

 

I mean I REALLY want a cig and Im more than prepared to kill for one.

I took my pill, I havent done anything different, and its the first time Ive actually craved a cig since I started taking the pills... ok its gone... the cravings gone.

 

That was short and nasty.

Just like me

 

Heads up everyone, the craving DOES return and when it hits, its bad. Short, but bad.

 

Ill add more here if it returns.

 

 

Additional:

I now have a cracking headache. I drank water in case the craving was dehydration- they say that thirst can sometimes be mistaken for craving...

The cravings there still, very faint but thats because Im thinking about it. The more I think about it the stronger the craving becomes.

I shouldnt be craving at all though...

I wonder if any of you will go through this... if you do, I hope you see this post...

I filled a bottle with cig ends and water.

If it happens again Im going to take a big sniff at it. The stench should put me off.

Ill let you know how successful it is.

i only had one cig last night. 2 this morning so far.

I am on day 6 of champix.....

 

Nice one. The urges are fading. Just remember to have a cig when you feel like one, not when youre supposed to have one.

Went to the doctors, he said I have to go on a waiting list to see the practice nurse so it could be months before I get on champix

Bloody waiting lists? Whats with all the bloody waiting lists? Thets the third person who has to go on a waiting list, dont they WANT people to quit???
