Jeffrey Shaw
Hi - very new to house buying but have received a quote from my solicitor for £2,405.80 - includes search fees and stamp duty (£1,600) plus a fee of £375 for solicitors charges..This seems ok to me but to be fair I wouldn't have a clue! Any thoughts? Anyone who acts for you and refers to 'Stamp Duty' [abolished 2003 for property] ought to be suspected of other inaccuracies too. Stamp Duty Land Tax is a wholly different regime. SDLT of £1600 would be applicable for a purchase price of £160 000 [@ 1%].
Driskell01
Hi We have just moved and we used Stan Wringley from Pennine Law. They have two offices, one in Penistone and one in Hoyland. Stan has been fantastic as we had a lot of problems with the sellers solicitor not providing the correct information and taking an age in doing anything. I can highly reccomend Stan and Pennine Law. Jon Street
Taylor and Emmet are by far the best solicitors for conveyancing in Sheffield. I have used them several times. Ross Ward provides the highest quality service and his assistant Jackie is very efficient. Would recommend highly.
FACEBOOK
Yes; their Nicola Stone is excellent. Do you know what Trump does to partners and employees who shout the praises of other competitors, he fires them. You're fired Jeffrey.
Jeffrey Shaw
Do you know what Trump does to partners and employees who shout the praises of other competitors, he fires them. You're fired Jeffrey. Actually, I speak from experience. Nicola used to work for me and- as I said- is excellent.

GrannyGranny
I've used Taylor & Emmett for 3 house sales/purchases and have found them very good each time. Make sure you get them to update you regularly and don't be afraid to ring them if they don't contact you.
