Any old 'uns remember Ida Chapman who lived at 31 Junction Rd in the 50's?

 

Ida was my Aunt. My mum was her sister Kathleen who married Peter Hollis. After leaving 'The Junction' we moved to Buxton.

 

Ida died more than five years back. Her only surviving sibling is Audrey who still lives in Sheffield

I'm in Woodhouse, we were the first family to move on to the Skelton estate in 1972,still on same estate, just different house. Also went to Shirebrook school when it first opened.......ah ,the memories.....

 

i was at shirebrook too left in 1990 i think to go to city

not seen them for years. used to know thier dad when i was little, he was a desert rat in the war. used to spoil all us kids in the west end club.

really. ive not been in the west end for years. used to go with our next door neighbours.

i think brian still lives in the flats with lorraine and i know marie and tony moved a while back, simon their youngest was in iraq the last i heard.

Born Church Lane 1965. Went to Shirebrook & City schools. Had a great childhood playing in the woods and fields ranging from Hackenthorpe to Handsworth, Treeton to Stradbroke. Hair cut at John's, Fishcake butty from Mannings, Dandy & Beano from Dickinsons, Groceries from Andersons etc etc. I go back every couple of weeks to see my folks.
