The co-op late shop used to be called Andersons ansd my mum used to shop there . I always remember standing in the meat counter queue and everyone would order 1/2 pound of 'Flitch ' never knew and still dont know what 'flitch is cos im sure they dont sell it at ASDA. -
They are doing work ready for switch over.

Depends where you live in the City if you receive freeview or not . It seems hills block the digital signal so if you live in the south west of the city you will have to wait till the switchover in 2011.

i once told an estate agent to find me a house on the 52 route . and with first and stagecoach running the 52 its great but i catch the train cos bus takes an advertised time of 33 minutes and train takes 10 minutes . Ok you cant beat £5.00 a week on first but with the time factor in a morning and £3.00 return on the train it seems a good buy . Train is always packed but its worth it for the lay in .lol

when i was younger there was a co-op in Woodhouse village in the new precinct that sold food and another old building at top of chapel street that sold hardware stuff and clothes and my Nan used to call it the top stores. The Precinct don't look like it did in the 70s and now the food co-op is a funeral parler and the top stores was bulldozed years ago but theres a new shiny food co-op on the site now . Does any woodhouse older generation still call it the top stores , or am an old person now and does anyone call the new co-op the top stores ? -
cant understand all the moaning about buses . I live on the 52 route best service in town . But when it drops to every 15 mins at night i have to wait a bit longer . Try to catch an 81 or 82 to Ecclesall and its not like the 52 at all . I waited 45 mins the other night and saw three 80c , four 52 go past and an 86 which dosen't go where i want to . Do First think Hunters Bar is the city limit ? or do they think people on Ecclesall road south have loads of cars so they don't need buses at night .
