The link in the post you quote proves he isn't.

Indeed but that doesn’t stop him claiming that.  Which he does.

I note though that Dr Coleman states ‘I am a qualified doctor and registered to practice’.  I also understand he still sees patients privately so there are plenty with confidence in him.

I understood that he lost the right to practice but I wouldn't argue the point because I think he's a fool anyway and so he doesn't interest me.

I have no problem with people who do believe him and trust him as I am a strong believer in people being allowed to form their own opinions.

He may claim it, but, to put it bluntly, he is a liar.

If he can lie about that, is it safe to trust any of his other claims?

It became clear during the pandemic that certain scientists were censored and silenced, check out the Great Barrington Declaration, it was signed by Doctors, Scientists and members of the public because they wanted to hear an alternative voice, not one spouted continuously by the media.

All paid for by a far right American libertarian economics 'think tank' who promote and sponsor climate change deniers, anti vaccination and anti public health beliefs.

They did not want to 'hear' anything it was a vehicle to promote political beliefs.

The Times 15 Jan 24 (p6)

Lord Bethell believes key health issues are being ignored [by the Covid inquiry], leaving the UK exposed.
Newly released documents
[reveal that] Boris Johnson and Rishi Sunak both gave evidence with the former prime minister forced to defend himself against claims of chaotic decision making and a reluctance to initiate a lockdown.
An example
[of the lack of focus on data analysis] of an exchange between Sunak and Hugo Keith KC (the inquiry's lead council) was cited. When the prime minister referred to an analysis of "quality adjusted life years" [QALYs] that suggested the severity and duration of the first lockdown may have outweighed the benefits, Keith shot back "we're not interested in quality adjusted life years".

1 - Johnson SHOULD have been reluctant to initiate a lockdown (something never ever done before in the history of the world) for a virus with a 99% survival rate and an average age of death in the early 80s.

2 - This is staggering

Quite rightly, when spending a finite amount of money, the NHS decides who to treat and how much to spend on that treatment on the basis of QALYs, i.e. how much longer will this treatment make the patient live and what quality of life will they have ?

So the fact that, apparently, the Covid Inquiry is not interested in this kind of analysis is exceptionally worrying.

Is this the same @Annie Bynnol who sees conspiracy theories everywhere ? This is the ultimate conspiracy theory (as well as being total cobblers).

When is she going to accept that the decision to suppress the whole of society for the first time in the history of the words was political, completely political. They did not have to do it at all, they chose to do it.

But she is right about one thing, the parallels with what they did during Covid and them trying to force their nett zero policies onto everyone are undeniable.

Axel  invited the thread followers to check out the Great Barrington Declaration(2020).  I would have thought that simplest of inquisitive minds would have wondered what the Great Barrington Declaration referred to. It is not a piece of Cricketing history but the address of  American Institute for Economic Research (AIER), a ultra Conservative, libertarian free market think tank based in Great Barrington, Massachusetts who sponsor the list.

Up to that point the AIER were known support for groups and individuals who supported sweat shop economics, denied climate change, opposed public health programmes and  government involvement in health and disease control.

The Covid pandemic gave them the opportunity to attract a new audience amongst those who had a belief in isolation and herd immunity as the solution.

Amongst the signatories are Mr Banana Rama, Harold Shipman, Prof Cominic Dummings, Dr Johnny Bananas, Dr. I.P. Freely, Dr. Person Fakename, reflecting the inability of AIER to audit each signature. The actual number of scientists etc. who were actively

involved in treating or research was very small as evidenced by the publicity each one got.

Not Conspiracy Theorists  just political opportunists with there libertarian beliefs.

These people are Scientists and Doctors, not politicians and have nothing to hide.  If you read the information on their website....."How did the Great Barrington Declaration Come About?" It clearly states in their info section The Declaration was written and signed at the American Institute for Economic Research, located in Great Barrington, Massachusetts. The Institute kindly offered to help with the video recording, providing a location, equipment and a camera man pro bono.

Jay Bhattacharya later learned that private correspondence between Fauci and Collins had maligned the three authors as "fringe epidemiologists" and had committed to orchestrating a devastating published takedown of their views....

Who initiated the Declaration?
Dr Kulldorff invited Dr Bhattacharya and Dr Gupta to Massachusetts to record a video outlining an alternative to the current COVID-19 strategy. While meeting, the three spontaneously decided to also write a short Declaration to summarize the thinking.

Why was the Declaration signed in Great Barrington?
The Declaration was written and signed at the American Institute for Economic Research, located in Great Barrington, Massachusetts. The Institute kindly offered to help with the video recording, providing a location, equipment and a camera man pro bono.

How were the co-signers selected?
After finishing the Declaration, the three authors emailed a few colleagues asking them if they would co-sign. Most agreed. These original 30+ co-signers are listed on the front page, together with others that were added later.

Can anyone sign the Declaration?
Yes. Through the online form.

Are all the online signatures real?
No. Some pranksters added fake signatures such as Dr. Johnny Bananas, Prof. Spon’Ge’Bob SQ.UarePants, Dr. Neal Ferguson, Prof. Ware Thamask, and Dr. Person Fakename. In a strange twist, one journalist bragged on Twitter about adding fake names, after which other journalists criticized the Declaration for having fake signatures. Anyhow, the fake signatures are less than 1% of the total, and most have been removed from the count tracker.

It is a matter of fact that the American Institute For Economic Research is a political body which indulges in climate change denial, amongst other unscientific activities.

It is a fact that the Great Barrington Declaration was signed by Johnny Fartpants, Mr Banana Rama and Dr Notaf Uckingclue, amongst others.

It is a fact that you’ve got to be particularly clueless to publish something with those signatories on it.

Oh, and it’s a load of dangerous, unscientific guff. You can tell that by the kinds of people who keep on regurgitating it.

Whatever happened to critical thinking? As well as viewing the Gt Barrington website, maybe look further afield as well.
A few links for you;

Who Are the Scientists Behind the Great Barrington Declaration?
— All three have advocated against lockdown measures since the start of the pandemic

But who are their backers
Koch-Funded PR Agency Aided Great Barrington Declaration Sponsor
The company Emergent Order has provided extensive multimedia public relations support services to a network of climate science deniers bankrolled by the Charles Koch Foundation,

What Is the American Institute for Economic Research?
The institution behind the Great Barrington Declaration, the American Institute for Economic Research (AIER), is a free-market think tank tied to funding from the Koch petrochemical and industrial empire and an investment firm with significant holdings in fossil fuels.

Many scientists believe, that the issues regarding  lockdown was that it started too late, and thus became a blanket one, rather than locally targeted smaller ones in areas of high infection.
For some reason, the G. Barrington folk had Sunak's ear; maybe because of their backers and his previous employment
Records Confirm Johnson Met with Lockdown-Sceptics at Key COVID Turning Point; this appears to be behind closed doors, away from the scrutiny of HMG's own scientific advisors.

Chancellor Rishi Sunak, architect of the nation’s Summer binge, disagreed. According to reports, he organised a summit between Johnson and several lockdown-sceptic scientists, in an attempt to broadcast another point of view.

Don't forget, that during all of this, we had organised super-spreader events, such as Cheltenham, Football & others, yet we didn't learn from them.

Eat Out to Help Out caused dramatic rise in deaths among Bangladeshi and Pakistani population in UK, says DMU Professor.

HMG's own advisors, as well as not being invited to the private meeting, don't seem to have known about the Eat Out sceme until it was announced publicly
Whitty never told about Eat Out to Help Out but ‘should have been’ – inquiry

All of which show how little regard Sunak & Johnson actually have for scientists.

Rishi Sunak’s covid record—and what it tells us about his views on health, wealth, and the value of science

An analysis by Thiemo Fetzer of the CAGE economic research centre at Warwick University, published in the Economic Journal,10 found that areas that had higher take-up of Eat Out to Help Out had a notably higher incidence of infections within a week of the scheme starting and a drop in infections within two weeks of the scheme ending. Fetzer estimated that the scheme may have been responsible for around 8% to 17% of all new SARS-CoV-2 infections during the period it was active, which he says tallies with Public Health England data showing a surge in the proportion of infections traced to food outlets from 5% to almost 20%. He says the public health and indirect economic costs of Eat Out to Help Out “vastly outstrip its short-term economic benefits.”

Which is perhaps unsurprising when you consider Sunak's links to Koch's Atlas network
What links Rishi Sunak, Javier Milei and Donald Trump? The shadowy network behind their policies

Which brings us full circle back to Barrington, Atlas, Koch, herd immunity

Herding People to Slaughter: The Dangerous Fringe Theory behind the Great Barrington Declaration

Officials at the highest levels are discussing the possibility of caving in on controlling the coronavirus and instead letting it run rampant throughout the United States until we reach “herd immunity,” the point where the virus effectively runs out of people to infect. More than 6,200 scientists, health professionals, and research organizations say this is inhumane and have signed a memorandum rejecting herd immunity as a legitimate strategy.

I see what you did there.  Great deflection tactics...

The post was about the freedom to choose and the right to hear both sides of the story, and not the mass control of perception and manipulation of thought by using programmes like The Trusted News Initiative.... the people have a right to hear both sides so that we can form our own opinions, whether we agree with the GBD or not.   Its as simple as that...
