Yes, The Albion is still going. We were in there last weekend. It's a mainly a real ale pub with a number of beers / lager by Stancil Brewery do a decent Barnsley Bitter. A bit quieter than the other pubs down there, outside match days because they no longer have Sky sports for football but there usually background music on & it means you can have a chat. The drinks are a decent price. Down that way I like The Albion, Cremorne & just off London Rd, nearby on Alderson Rd, the Golden Lion. All decent pubs. Shude Hill, under the Commercial St bridge. The doorway is still there. I read a line in a recent "Beer Matters" booklet, which is produced monthly by the local Campaign for Real Ale group, that somebody was looking to reopen it as a rock bar.
