Absolutely no idea.

My parents used to buy me a glass of shandy and a packet of crisps containing a blue bag of salt (no fancy flavours in those days) to drink and eat in the car while they were in the pub getting their drinks. That was from a young age and usually on a return trip from the coast.

At 16 I was downing the odd glass with a ploughman's lunch whilst at college but when I started driving at 17 I had to carefully watch the amount I drank.

Now if you asked where and when was the first time I had sex, I do remember exactly, as I bet everyone does! I even recall the girl's name.

echo.

Smith's crisps that would have been echo.

Without a doubt St Petre they would have been Smith's and the salt was optional, not like today.

Walkers weren't nationally known then and Gary  Lineker wasn't even born!

My first alcholic drink was in The Huntsman corner of Deerlands and Barnsley road. I don't live in Sheffield now, but I think the huntsman is no longer there.

The Mosley Arms, that brings back many memories, I used to be a regular in there.

Just trying to remember the landlord, think his name was Eli or summat,

My first drink was in the Penguin, but I was only 17. so it was "Illegal"

It was Eli Furness or Furniss.

Hard to remember, I was drinking quite freely in all the pubs in my village from the start of Sixth Form onwards (was just about to turn 17).

My first drink was at the same pub as blackhill the huntsman in 1967.

Hillsborough Inn,the building is still there but no longer a  pub. On a slow afternoon the landlord would let us pull our own beer
