And Labour, don't forget them. You could hardly expect a government to sort out the problem that they inherited in 13 years could you? I mean they've had a lot on their plate you know. There have been PPE contracts to sign, it isn't easy to decide which mate ( with no experience in the PPE trade ) you're giving one to while having to disappoint others. Contracts for ferries to a company with no ships. Titles to donors and mates and Russian KGB connected pals. Its been all go at Westminster. We should have a little sympathy.

Prettytom
Anyway. Organgrinder
It should be quite obvious to even the biggest fan of Brexit that Brexit has failed, is costing us money, and is holding back our economic prosperity. The government admitted it long ago and the promised trade deals are much harder to clinch than we were told and proof of the failure. It's just a case of what do we do next, or how long do we faff about like this whilst our fortunes dissipate, before we realise - it was a mistake and we need to salvage what we can and change course.
geared
Worth remembering the good people of Dover voted pretty comprehensively for Brexit. A place that pretty much only exists due to it's proximity to Europe, where many people's jobs and livelihood will be linked to smooth trade across the channel. That's the kind of absolute meat that thought it was a good idea.
Axe
Surprise Surprise none of the anti Brexit and anti democratic contributors have commented about the Northern Ireland situation and the new agreement with the DUP.

No surprise at all because the government kept the details secret until yesterday and even then, they were only released to the parties concerned and not announced to the general public. We cannot even be sure at this stage how happy are those who know the details until they speak out on what it all means. There is nothing whatsoever undemocratic about having a different view to the government or even to the majority vote of the public. We have to accept that Brexit has happened but it is not anti democratic to not like it and believe it was the wrong thing to do. It would seem you believe in controlling peoples minds. When the details are made known, I may well have something to say but I notice that you yourself have not commented either. The EU, the Irish government, Sinn Féin, the Labour and LibDem parties, and the majority of the Tory and DUP parties are all happy with the deal. So far, the only people to express dissatisfaction with it are some of the DUP and the more extreme brexiters within the Tory party. I suggest you wait until the implications of the deal become clear before getting too exited.
geared
They also didn't comment on the food checks that came in at the same time, which every single food retailer has warned will push up costs and hurt choice.
geared
and let's be honest, if someone thinks Northern Ireland getting a slightly better trade deal is something worth celebrating, they really are a simpleton. They had none of this nonsense before, it's all Brexit.
