blake 10 #2534 Posted October 24, 2018 it is all looking pretty good for Trump, to be honest. His approval rating is the highest it has ever been. The Democrats are losing their bottle, they are not saying they have a chance of winning the Senate any more. Their deflation is visible and they do not have the appetite for the battle that they had a month or two ago. They are looking like they will make only modest gains, less than what you would normally expect them to make in this kind of situation, with a new president. blake 10 #2539 Posted October 25, 2018 it is not looking bad for the GOP at all and it is the Dems fault for being useless and not changing their attitude even though it was they who under-performed badly at the last election and not Trump. Trump is more popular, or less unpopular now than he has ever been, and it really isn't looking like it will be a wipe-out at all like the Dems were hoping for. These elections are hard to call, it depends a lot on the detail of all the hundreds of individual races around the country but it really is looking like it won't be as bad for Trump as it was when Obama got taken to the cleaners in 2010. Which means he'll class it as a victory.
 Share this content via...
Halibut 12 #2540 Posted October 25, 2018 In a staggering display of hypocrisy Trump said in response to the recent bombs delivered to various political and media targets - “Any acts or threats of political violence are an attack on our democracy itself,” he told the crowd. “We want all sides to come together in peace and harmony. We can do it … Those engaged in the political arena must stop treating political opponents as morally defective.” This from a man who publicly praised a senator who assaulted a journalist, a man who said of protesters at a rally "If you see somebody getting ready to throw a tomato, knock the crap out of them, would you? Seriously, OK? Just knock the hell ... I promise you I will pay for the legal fees. I promise, I promise," In Las Vegas 2016, to security guards escorting a protester out of a rally "He's walking out with big high-fives, smiling, laughing,I'd like to punch him in the face, I'll tell you." In Warren, Michigan also in 2016 "Get him out," he said of a protester. "Try not to hurt him. If you do, I'll defend you in court. Don't worry about it." glennpickard 10 #2543 Posted October 25, 2018 You seemed to have missed the point completely. You were not being told of illegal happenings. You were being advised, step by step, of the progression and inciting of violence that has been promoted from the bully pulpit. Then you would need to connect the dots to today.
