The Consequences of Brexit [part 4]

Recommended Posts

There is no "cliff" being fallen off. Even the worst of the ridiculously incredible predictions don't resemble a "cliff". Honestly, the language used, cliffe edge, hard, soft, etc, is beyond ridiculous. Four fifths of the world's countries are outside the EU.

The major trading nations that we hope will be open to us are the most protectionist and aggressive in the developed world.

The EU is also protectionist as its trading partners are not allowed to make a trade deal with another country outside the EU directly.

But we can trade with other countries collectively through the EU.

Germany manages to export approaching £100billion to China under current rules which is about 6 times our figure.

I would love to think that our share of these major markets could be increased under new trade deals, but what are we going to make or supply to achieve such growth.

All economies are protectionist to some extent.

Every single one of them. Without exception.

and the EU is sorry...WAS or main trading partner

It will still be after the hard Brexit Mel.

Look, just watch the governments get in line to create a nice little post Brexit trade deal that business and the nations economies demand in the coming months.
