This is funny, accusing others of tunnel vision, when she is the original 'one trick pony'.

May is blind to everything else except brexit.

She is just a contractor brought in to shut the country down.

Also, notice the tremor in her voice, she is a bag of nerves. She is not up to the job.

The name of this country is The United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland.

That is the united kingdoms of England and Scotland.

If Scotland secedes it will only be known as England and Northern Ireland.

Wales, as a principality, is amalgamated with England.

Northern Ireland will join along with Eire to become one country in short order, and England and Wales will remain as a rump, with London the only place of significance.

Britain is made up of England and Wales.

Scotland is what makes it "Great". Ironic for some.

Least not forget Northern Ireland.

So if Scotland leaves, just drop the "Great". No?

Sturgeon is the head of the Scottish government, was elected as such on a manifesto which included calling IndyRef 2 if the circumstance changed -in particular a UK exit from the EU- and so has a bona fide democratic mandate to call IndyRef 2.

...you're not another one of these Leavers with a "variable geometry" understanding of sovereignty and democracy, are you? :suspect:

:hihi:

She may have a mandate to call one but her Sovereign overlords are Parliament which the Supreme Court also backed up quoting the Sewel Convention. Therefore she must obtain permission from the UK government and Parliament to hold another one as that is the UK's Sovereign position. As it stands it seems highly unlikely that will happen till after Brexit has concluded.

Exactly, it is only Great, as in Greater Manchester, or Greater London.

It is only English arrogance that makes it otherwise.

The term was reintroduced by James VI of Scotland shortly after becoming king of England (following the death of Elizabeth I). So it would have to be Scottish arrogance I'm afraid.

Or it could just be that he thought it was good name to unify the two countries and make the people feel good about themselves. Just a thought.

A good trade for a young person today would be 'Forelock Curler'.

A whole new fashion could occur, the forelock - tugging for the use of.

Since Northern Ireland also want to remain in the EU and Wales was quite possibly voting more against Westminster than the EU, I suggest that Scotland invites them along for the vote, and if the vote goes that way then the UK can remain in the EU and England can leave the UK. Simples.

Both NI and Wales are a big financial drain on the UK taxpayers and are better off being in as they would lose too much by splitting. England cant leave the UK either as it was England that created it in the first place.
