Major emergency vehicle response out of town from Middlewood Road 9/1

Any idea what this is about, at least 2 fire engines, 10 police cars and bikes and 2 ambulances from town without counting any from Middlewood ambulance station towards Stocksbridge.

Yeah ive just seen all that, saw 4 ambulances and an marked car with lights on.

A6102 South Yorkshire - A6102 Langsett Road North in Oughtibridge closed and slow traffic in both directions at the Cockshutts Lane junction, because of an accident.

I came through Oughtibridge about 30 mins ago ,and it is a horrific smash 100 yds past Cockshutts Lane heading towards Wharncliffe side. Looks really nasty .

It's at the bottom of Bedford Road. Cut person out of the car as they let me pass to get up Bedford road to get home.

 

One of the vehicles is a Kier van, the other is a car.

 

The chopper is in the field next to the road as well. (just took off)

 

57 is still running and a limited service on the SL. Some of the SL's going along Halifax road, nice of travel south yorkshire to not have updated. We were dropped at Oughtibridge by a SL coming up to go back for Stocksbridge passengers.

A friend of mine has just popped in on the way up, apparently the man didn't make it. Not 100% certain if that is true or not.

Thats terrible if true. I know when i passed it looked very ,very serious . Its the first time ive seen Police Motorcycle outriders waiting to escort an Ambulance.
