Could be a different illness.....mainly old people are on there

Patients are mainly Diabetic and heart Failure patients, usually elderly but they do sometimes take on younger patients with diabetes or heart failure as this is what this ward specializes in.

I believe it's a general ward that covers a whole range of illnesses.

Think that's where they put me when I was admitted with a chest infection, general monitor you ward, while they find out for sure what's wrong. x

My Grandma was in there a few weeks ago, she has lung cancer and developed a blood clot on her lung.

 

Not sure that it's relevant to this thread but the staff in there were lovely!

General medical ward, but, as is the nature of the beast with a higher population of elderly, diabetic, obstructive airways disease and heart failure type patients
