Makes Me So Mad

How about todays example?

"Im selling a litter of puppies, but the remaining one (from my poor brooder bitch, who's probably never had a puppy free season) from the last batch is now causing me problems, so i'll advertise him too!!!!"

When will people learn that dogs/cats/rabbits are not breeding machines, and that a good proportion of the pups they breed for an extra income will end up either in a pound/rescue or worse!!

I currently have the most adorable whippet cross boy living with me in foster care, as someone couldn't be bothered to train him, or correct any of his behaviour.

He is slowly learning how to be a dog (at approx. 18 months is still very much displaying puppy behaviour) and all it takes is a little time! I work a 10 hour shift with an hours commute each way, and yet still manage to have 3 happy, healthy dogs, 2 cats and a handful of exotics! :loopy:

The bold part is rather unfair Krush, we certainly don't know that to be true at all...the rest I have to agree with though.

Its happening more and more, its always the excuse they are selling for a friend or relative that cant cope, but if you look on their post history it reveals all.

Litter after litter for sale in as many months.

Yes the bold part may not be quite correct, as if its the one I'm thinking it is, that person breeds a lot of one type of dog, and the one for sale was a different breed.

people make me ashamed to be human sometimes. how can ppl go through life being so cold? i think the fact ppl are still allowed to advertise litters of staffies/bull crosses on here should be looked at especially when certain ppl thn want to get rid of their existing pets to cope with the litter they have purposely breed to make money.

all you can hope is someone kind and patient comes along to pick up the pieces the fact that the poor sod who ends up taking on these dogs usually ends up with an unruly/nervous/agressive dog that hasnt been trained or socialised by the half wit who bought it origionally without any thought for its wellbeing and how it would fit in to their life longterm is an entirely seperate matter. snd all because some ppl are ignorant and self centered

Its time the powers that be did something about it, if i was doing it i would be ashamed to put my name to a litter of staffie pups as things are.But some people are blind to it all they only see the money.

Perhaps if they introduced a licence to breed and make it expensive it would put them off.

Some people only see the money, but others really think their dog is something special and needs to be bred, people keep asking me if I'll be breeding mine, and saying I should do as shes sooooooo beautiful, but shes really no different from any other staffy you see. If I wasn't as clued up as I am about the rescue problems, I would have been persuaded by now, thinking I had hundreds of perspective buyers for my puppies, when in reality, none of them would buy one.

Maybe Nikita but someone would find a way around it. Ive just been on gumtree looking for a pup to join our other 2 dogs. Cant believe how many dogs are up 4 sale cos of work commitments omg. I can leave my dogs 10 hours at a time when im dead busy at work and i still have time for them. Im lucky our sons live at home cos they spoil them lol
