Rich
Topic. Fired up Dad's Windows 7 powered Desktop this morning, well I tried to, damn thing wouldn't boot up, it kept saying "no operating system"! So I've been using the Laptop all day, which only has Windows XP. Anyway, is Dad's Desktop [removed]? Is there anything he can do? No LMGTFY links please. PlayStation
I had the exact same probllem a few week ago with my compaq desktop running windows 7. I booted the machine into recovery mode and selected start up repair where this also said no OS. So i pulled the plug on the machine, restarted it and it booted into windows perfectly fine and has ran fine ever since. Very strange.

brianthedog
I've heard of evil eBay vendors attacking people through their poorly secured routers. I think this is one of those cases...
Emmie92
If the OP had taken the time to create a 'system image' and made a 'repair disk' then he would probably be up and running in minutes. Back up your programs, system settings, and files Edited March 5, 2012 by Emmie92
