mike84 Â Â 13 #3 Posted February 10, 2012 In which case all the staff will TUPE over and the staff will be exactly the same. Sorry. Â exactly! Same staff in the same jobs. the ALMO was only created to take advantage of government grants to bring homes up to decent homes standard. not unsuprising that now this money has been used that the management will probably return to the council. Brian Hanson   10 #4 Posted February 10, 2012 I've never really understood Sheffield Homes. Most people see it has a seperate company that has nothing to do with the city council apart from managing the council's housing stock. I've always thought of Sheffield Homes has being a 'branch' of the city council, seeing as it's the city council who founded Sheffield Homes. So how can it be a seperate company? RELIABLE Â Â 10 #6 Posted February 10, 2012 (edited) Sheffield homes treat there council tennents as a number there management staff say one thing then do another realy hope they get voted out when there contracts are up for renewal !!!!! Â What is it your obviously not happy about , i take it you have been turned down for housing or wanting something you got knocked back on ? Sheffield homes may get voted out, but it will be mainly same employees from sheffield homes that go back to the council , apart from the normal job losses to save money , so more people will be on the dole . Hemibr   10 #9 Posted February 12, 2012 (edited) And after all that can i bring a case for peciuniary advantage as they "poached" a contracted tenant from a private landlord and they now pocket the rent ?  related issue - is the contracted party still liable for council tax on the vacated property regardless of Sheffield homes unlawful interference ?  As the actions of Sheffield homes deprive the landlord of sole source of income and non access to benefits then demanding council tax throws up an absurdity in the law where Sheffield homes bring about absolute destitution income deprivation and council tax want money off the victim.
