Demo violence in London today

Recommended Posts

I've had a look around on you tube. There's one video that has bits of the footage but it has been cut with other things so it isnt very clear.

The footage I'm referring to starts at 0.25 secs until 0.33 secs in this video. It was repeatedly shown on BBC news yesterday. I'll keep an eye out for a better quality version of the full coverage or you could contact the guy who posted this and ask for a copy of the full footage.

As opposed to the 60 odd million who agreed with the Govt and the regrettably necessary cuts to resolve the terrible mess Labour left us....

27.148 million voted, the majority of people in the country did not vote.

Turnout was however 65% amongst the voting class.

Many did not even get to have a say, nor was there somebody to have a say on their behalf.

Don’t worry about substantiating the footage. Whatever you show them they will find a way of accusing you of being crazy. It's the party line. Much like the Stalinists who put dissidents in gulags and sanitarians for not believing in Socialism. I’m sure the irony will be lost on them however.

it doesnt make it morally right tho, just because somethings legal or illegal doesnt change it from being right or wrong

what does tax avoidance have to do with morality?

would you pay more tax than you need too?

all tax legislation offers opportunities for anyone (individuals and companies) to quite legitimately reduce the amount of tax they pay.

the ease and amount that can be saved depends on the nature of the business and the quality of the legislation.

i would imagine that most of the avoidance schemes could be closed down overnight should the government have a mind to do it but no matter how tightly the legislation was crafted other opportunities would be opened up. further opportunities would arise as new legislation was created and existing legislation amended or repealed.

most, if not all, of the current avoidance methods were created by the previous government and its predecessors and none of them showed much enthusiasm for dealing with them.

think about the morality, the violence in london yesterday WASNT just about cuts, its about a deap seated anger slowly building.

an anger due to the fact that the vast majority of us are getting screwed and pushed closer to debt yet the rich are STILL lining their pockets and making more from peoples misery

but then we are ALL in this together

And when you finish smashing windows and throwing paint and stuff at coppers, the rich will still be lining their pockets :loopy:
