good to see a left of center political party being in the real world, waking up and smelling the coffee, and seeing the dire need to replace their leader if they are to have any chance of winning forthcoming elections. Perhaps they learnt a lesson from their UK counterparts, who ought to have booted Brown out to better their chances of clinging on to power.

Well they are 20 years behind the UK on fashion, why would they not be 20 years behind the UK when it comes to politics :)

Do people never learn?

Aus was doing so well, one of the leading lights.

Having a female trying to run the show was the beginning of all the trouble in this country.

Women should stay in the kitchen, where they can do less damage.

you"ve got to be joking what with the billions wasted on the B.E.R. shambles the mining tax in W.A plus the insulation fiasco he's wasted billions of tax dollars .

Could she be any worse than the UK's recently-departed Prime Minister though?

Could anybody, for that matter?

I think that the lovely Margaret would give him a run for his money in the lack of popularity stakes.

Are you sure about that, Arty?:hihi:

Is this leading onto an anti-Thatcher rant?

Not yet, I have only just got back home after a day spent saving the Universe. :hihi:

They don't do fashion, it's too warm. Shorts, thongs (flip flops to the phillistines) and AC-DC t-shirts are all you need. John Howard was quite a bloke, far too politically incorrect for this cissy forum though. http://tinyurl.com/323xrw9

Ah, that old chestnut. John Howard never said any of that or anything remotely like it.

Not a word of that is true. It's an internet hoax that has been doing the rounds for years, prompting people to say "If only our leader had the balls to say/do that kind of thing".

Sorry to explode the myth, but the leaders of western countries simply couldn't get away with saying stuff like that. It's an adaptation of something that appeared on an American forum some years ago and has mysteriously been attributed to the former Aussie leader.
