SYorksDeano   10 #17 Posted June 20, 2009 I've had it "tried" on with me many times. I once had a driver take me from the train station to Southey via Hillsborough Centre!!!!  I have even had a driver try and take me to Northern General via West Street from the Interchange
 Share this content via...

quisquose   10 #20 Posted June 20, 2009 I walk home nowadays, taxis are a bit expensive, for the sake of a 40-50 minute walk I can save £10.  Agreed 100%. Most people out in town must be less than a hours walk away.  I have always walked home, it's about 75 mins for me. It sobers me up, gets rid of the calories I've just drunk and saves me more than a tenner. Above all I just love to see our city when it's quiet.  I have always felt pretty safe walking alone, and given some of the stories one hears about taxis these days it's probably safer than a taxi. Minimo   59 #22 Posted June 20, 2009 How come this thread gets so much sympathy? When I posted a thread about a taxi driver and problems with change, I got mostly sarcasm. Just curious.
 Share this content via...

WHat a sad sorry thing to have to say !
 Share this content via...
