How can that next batch of weather be approaching from the South West when the wind has been blowing from the North all day ? :huh:

 

It doesn't make sense, but often wind direction at ground level can be radically different from that moving weather systems about.

Ahhh, I see.

 

I'm used to comments like being "nesh" and being told to "put wood in't hole" etc. Not heard that one before. Excellent!

don't tell me you have never heard the term change your butcher :suspect: especially at your age :hihi:

ask you mam and dad they have probably heard of it :)

Due to the weather, Traveline is experiencing high call volumes. We apologise for any inconvenience caused and thank you for your patience.

 

All services are operating on their normal routes at present (except those listed below). If any side road is inaccessible then buses will be using main roads only.

 

First South Yorkshire (Sheffield)

Most services have now been reintroduced but as before serving main roads and not serving estates.

 

Services 1/2 - still suspended

 

Service 3 normal to Carterknowle Rd, left down Carterknowle Rd, right onto Abbeydale rd, right back up Springfield

 

Services 4 only running to the city, will not be serving Meadowhall

 

Service 6 - main roads only, not serving Littledale Estate or Bowden Wood Estate

 

Service 11/12 only operating to Malin Bridge

 

Services 13,14 not operating via Chase Road.

 

Services 20 - unable to operate via Derbyshire lane, operating as service 20A via Scarsdale Rd.

 

Service 22 - is now running its normal route.

 

Service 33 not operating via Hollythorpe Rise

 

Services 45, 46 terminating at Meadowhall

 

Services 47, 48 to Firth Park Only

 

Service 51 operating to Gleadless Town End, Lodge moor side ok.

 

Service 52 as normal to Crookes but returning at the moment via Service 94 route South Road as Crookes turnround is currently impassable.

 

Services 57, 58 now operating via Worral then on bottom road (Manchester Road) to Stocksbridge.

 

Services 75, 76 operating to Chapeltown only. Both are operating normally along Woodseats Road.

 

Service 77,78 are not operating via Bevan Way

 

Service 80 is still suspended

 

Services 81,82 missing Greystones Rd, operating via Ringinglow Road instead.

 

Service 84 is still suspended

 

Services 94, 95 not operating via Birley. Towards Walkley: operating as normal via South Lane then returning via 52 route, Tinker Lane terminus is impassable.

 

Services 240,272, 218 are all currently being reintroduced

 

Stagecoach in Yorkshire (Sheffield)

Service 25 - Operating to Old Mother Redcap only

 

Service 29 - attempting to run full route to Penistone but is not running to time.

 

Service 52 – operating its full route.

 

Service 83/88 - normal routes resumed Ecclesfield/High Green - Bents Green.

 

Service 123 - normal route now resumed Walkley - Crystal Peaks.

 

Supretram Link - will remain on Manchester Road remainder of the day in Stocksbridge & Deepcar.

 

 

Central Travel

HO1 - Now running again.

 

Sheffield Community Transport (Sheffield)

Service 31 is running but is not serving Carr Road.

 

61, 62 - running full route. Is not serving Wood Lane.

 

64 - Now running.

 

72 - Running most roads, may omit a few roads in Chapeltown.

 

Services 300, M17 and M29 are not running

 

Stagecoach Supertram

Running but with delays.

 

TM Travel (Sheffield)

Service 201 - using Manchester Road only

 

Service 293 - is currently operating its full route although this could be subject to change if the weather changes.

 

TM Travel services are now getting through to Buxton.

 

First South Yorkshire (Rotherham)

Service resumed using ONLY Main roads:

 

7, 43 & 43A not using West Hill or serving Blackburn

 

11, 37 now using Asda car park

 

14 Normal to Stag Roundabout.

 

15 operating its normal route.

 

39, 43 & 43A not using Becket Crescent or Rhodes Avenue.

 

41,42 not using Wagon Rd.

 

X78 operating normal route throughout.

 

Powells

X7 - The 16.40 and 17.35 services from Sheffield will run.

 

Service 18 Doncaster to Dinnington. will operate at 1330 and at 1325 Dinnington to Doncaster.

 

All other services are still suspended.

 

Stagecoach (Rawmarsh)

All services are out and running their normal routes although they are still subject to some delays.

 

Stagecoach (Barnsley/Shafton)

Services are now operating their full routes except if stated below.

 

 

 

Expressways of Rotherham

60 - Suspended.

 

First South Yorkshire (Doncaster)

All Doncaster routes are returning to normal operation. Delays may be expected

 

Wilfreeda Beehive

Operating with delays

 

Stagecoach (Chesterfield)

All services are running normally with the exception of 44 which is not serving Coal Aston and is using the bottom road through Dronfield.

 

Stagecoach (Worksop)

All services are now running along main roads only. Expect delays.

 

Stagecoach (Mansfield)

All still running but not serving local estates, estates affected – Rainworth, Clipstone, Drybrook – only operating on main roads in these areas.

 

Dunn Line/Veolia

Service A1 is operating its normal route however it is subject to delays resulting from traffic congestion.

 

Arriva Yorkshire

Everything operating at present.

 

Denny’s Coaches

341 – The 14.55 from Barnsley will not run, thus 13.55 is the last one of the day.

 

Isle's Coaches

Service 291/399 - are operating but are currently about 10-15 mins late.

 

Please listen to Local radio for details of services affected by snow. All main roads currently open, some untreated side roads may cause some delays.

 

Snake Pass is closed. Woodhead pass is open.

Rail Services

Local Services - Due to overhead electrical problems the local stopping services between Leeds and Doncaster are operating with some unexpected delays.

 

Train services between Wakefield Westgate and Doncaster have been disrupted due to earlier overhead wire problems. Delays may still occur.
