Met Office Weather Warning of Widespread Icy Roads for E Riding of Yorkshire, Kingston upon Hull, N Lincolnshire, N Yorkshire, NE Lincolnshire, S Yorkshire, W Yorkshire, York from 1700 Thu 5 to 1100 Fri 6

 

The temperature will fall quickly early this evening allowing widespread ice to form on untreated surfaces, especially in areas where snow has partially thawed during the day.

 

The public are advised to take extra care and refer to the 'Highways Agency' for further advice on traffic disruption on motorways and trunk roads.

Those maps actually meant something before some twaat decided to fill the whole thing in orange because of Icy roads! We know the bits where there are snow will get Icy, and now have no easy visibility of whats going to come out of the sky and where. Well done Met office :loopy:

Press the "play" button and it will show you the current precipitation and where it's headed next. The brighter the colours, the heavier the precipitation. Obviously it depends on the temperature as to whether it falls as rain, sleet or snow.
