Taybarns restaurant - has anyone been?

Has anyone been to the new restaurant just off junction 36 of M1, its called Tay Barns...

went to one a few weeks ago in gateshead, were going away but got delayed 24 hours so they took us to a premier inn hotel with a taybarn restaurant

found it really good loads of choice and as much as you wanted to eat and soft drinks,

Its definitely not open yet - but they look like they've nearly finished the refurbishment, so that sounds possible

There's one not far from me. Its a gaudy orange coloured building with a banner around the door awning saying "pizza, rotisserie, carvery, soup, salad, grill" and other foods.

 

I'm always a little wary of establishments that self promote. "The Ultimate Eatery". I'll be the judge of that thank you.

Just looking at the website, it's an "all you can eat". That will combat the obesity problem.

Hi All

 

I have been to this new eatery tonight and was really impressed.

It is an all you can eat restauant with a Cavery, Pizza, Pasta, Grill, Salad Bar.

 

The food was awesome for 7.95 each

I went on Friday evening. Lets just say I have not eaten as much food in my life up to that point!!!

Just got back from Tay barns.Now feel incredibly stuffed:(However I think it was really good on the whole![i have always liked places where you can see the kitchens.]Good choice of food.Give it a go-can't go wrong for the money!!

Next time I'm thinking of taking my other half out to an industrial estate for the evening to a chain restaurant I will certainly consider it.

 

Might lead to divorce though!

are the desserts included in the price (someone says soft drinks as well )- does it still have the kids play area

Desserts are included, I had four when i went! For soft drinks, you pay £1.95 for a glass and you fill it yourselves as much as you want. For the kids area, cant say I noticed it.
