Will the Council release break the vote down over the whole city, as well as the various wards ? I will be interested to see how the SF vote compares to the City wide results.

Best of luck to all those running. Even if I dont agree with your politics at least you put your money where your mouths are.

Only 5 minutes until the ballot box's slam shut for this election. At this moment in time it stands at:

Liberal Democrat 39%

BNP 17%

Green Party 14%

Labour 9%

Socialist Alternative 1%

  • If history runs true again the BNP vote shown above will a little skewed because they have an active presence on SF.
  • Labour are showing half the votes of the BNP.
  • The Green Party are a surprising second.
  • The Lib Dem's have over double the vote of any other party.

If the above is representative it looks like Jan Wilson will be clearing out her desk. The real count will be an interesting comparison.

i akchully vowted BNP bekause i fink thi sound.cos all slalom seykers are cumming ere and tekking all jobs and brung all this global warming wi em.

JUST KIDDING ,voted lib dems

lol!:hihi: I often wonder if the terrible understanding / use of the language demonstrated by BNP voters does them any favours or if it has no impact at all on people's perception of them?

To me it indicates sloppy ideas coming from sloppy minds plus an inability to communicate at a basic level (let alone ability to grip more complex ideas). The same reasons such terrible English would lose a person a job interview.

Does poor English have no impact when politically lobbying? Or is it actually a clever form of Dog-Whistle politics designed to appeal to those most likely to be receptive to the BNP? Those with little education and a poor understanding of English and History - let alone politics?

I voted Labour by the way!

You are not too far wide of the mark! It's funny how use of the word "apologist" on this forum is often out of context and mostly just plain wrong! Along with "liberal" it has become a byword for moron! :|

Wish people could just say moron rather than misappropriating perfectly good words!
