Fletvictus
Sheffield City Council. Councillors, planners and people in general who think it's ok to try to solve one person's minor problems by dumping on some other person. Even more, those who use a pretence of doing that as a cover for imposing their own broader agenda. And yes, I am talking about the damned residents' parking scheme in Sharrow. Glennis
Sheffield has to be the friendliest city in the country, its laid back, the people are generally very helpful to strangers and it seems to me very racially tolerant BUT! 1/ The litter is awful .. its seems to be everywhere, the council does its best within its budget, and provides plenty of litter bins, but some people just don't respect the city and their surroundings. The pot holed roads and pavements are a national disgrace, especially when the ice is about in the winter; its just so dangerous. I wonder how much it costs the NHS every year treating broken bones. Castle market area, but at least this is getting sorted, along with the Moor Swearing, on buses and in streets. I was quite shocked when first arriving in the city at how much bad languague you hear in every day conversation. Chavs .. dropping litter, shouting at their kids, shouting, and old men who can be a bit smelly, and the 'posh folk' on the Ecclesall road, doing similar things, but with a posher accent. Traffic, especially cars, they are everywhere and dominate the city. The lack of Loo's .. not many around. It can also be very grey and depressing on wet or cloudy days. Other other this, the place ain't too bad. (;-)

md25
Complacent, inept council Dearth of jobs unless you're a medic, lawyer, estate agent or, strangely, do recruitment The hills - my calves are like Popeye's forearms Awful roads - Budapest and Riyadh have better er that's it I would add "the state of the town centre" but they're actually doing something about that, so moaning seems unfair!
